Loved the post, tinman, as always. At least I knew Scotty Brooks didn't get much PT since Cassell had arrived. Great times, those years. Will never forget them...

Anyone who doesn't pick the Mad Max deal is forgetting his contribution to the 1994 championship. Yeah, he was a headache the next season, but you take him away from the 1994 team, I'm not sure we win it all. $50k is NOTHING in the NBA. So we basically got a record-setting, 5 season starter for nothing. Plus, he always stuck it to San Antonio for trading him and played lock-down defense on Jordan. That's got to the best trade ever.

The Clyde trade is #2, in my book, only because we gave up OT, who was still a contributor to the team and a personal favorite of mine.

otis led to one champsionship directly
and he led to the second championship indirectly, because without him clyde wouldn't have come to Houston and without Clyde, a ring wouldn't have come either

eh, I put the trade FOR Otis Thorpe, because as awesome as it was on its own... Thorpe was a major reason why we eventually got Drexler, so without one you may not get the other.
