Oh man this is my favorite sport moment, i remeber it like it was yesterday. The funniest thing is. that just before Frank de Boer got the ball(which gave the assist to Bergkamp) the broadcaster said litteraly: I know the dutch will make it into the semi-finals, I just got a feeling and i know we will make it trough. OUr clearvoyent broadcaster. I agree this is one of the best sports moments ever.
Diego Maradona's "hand ball" goal vs. England, 1986 World Cup. <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Ltn13sMvJSs"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Ltn13sMvJSs" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

I can't remember if it was in the playoffs or a regular season game, but the shot that Rex Chapman made while he was with the Suns as he was falling out of bounds and was like 40 feet away from the basket is the greatest shot I have ever seen and my vote for greatest sports play ever. EDIT - just looked it up, it was in the first round of the playoffs in '97 against the Sonics.
Here's a beef of mine: Why does Doug Flutie get all the praise for his game winning hail mary pass? I'm willing the majority of college quarterbacks could make the same pass. I'm also willing to bet most sports fans, including myself, have no idea of the receivers name. He should get most of the credit.
Don't know how to post this here, but click on the link and watch this Billy "White Shoes" Johnson run against the Seahawks. Not my pick for the great single play I've ever seen, but just incredible. <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/rPMCuhVKFXM"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/rPMCuhVKFXM" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

The Immaculate Reception. Of course, you can tell by my sig that i'm slightly partial. <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/UnfbKKvUG9Q"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/UnfbKKvUG9Q" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
that is a great moment, but why didn't they show the rest of it where the announcer comes running out onto the field and makes mad passionate love with the whole team?
It was a great play on the game's biggest stage but to this day I still think that had to be one of the most predictable plays i've ever seen. USC's defensive unit should have walked around with bags over their heads after that one. Either way, still an incredible game and the better team still won which is never a bad thing.
The Ultimate Dreamshake against Robinson is maybe my favorite. The Admiral never looked or felt so stupid in his life. No love for the McMiracle? And of course, Sampson's shot! Huh. I might actually be a homer.
Don't know where this music came from...but this has to be the greatest ass kicking ever! <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/VUfJ1C8pGI4"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/VUfJ1C8pGI4" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
