I attended every home game in the playoffs against the Jazz a few yrs back. So I had the misfortune of being at the game 7 loss. I went to Baylor-A&M's mens bball game that had 5 overtimes a couple of yrs ago but I wouldn't consider that a great sports moment. Also, I was at Randy Johnson's first game in a Astros uni. I think Bagwell had 2 home runs in that game.
Game 7 against the Knicks Game 4 against the Magic Eddie Johnson vs. the Jazz Super Bowl 34 (Rams-Titans) UT hoops advancing to first Final Four (Alamodome) Chris Burke's 18th-inning walkoff UT-USC Rose Bowl Biggio's 3000th hit Missouri-Kansas battle for #1 Rockets-Portland Game 6 God, I'm addicted to sports. But those are my top 10 "in person" magic moments. Honorable mention goes to Randy Johnson's first game with the Astros (that atmosphere was beyond electric), Yao-Shaq's first meeting, and the Everett-Bruntlett walk-off double play.
1994- World Cup in Pasadena, California 1996- Summer Olympics in Atlanta 1999- Ryder Cup in Brookline, MA 2000- Tyson vs Botha fight in MGM Grand I was as early teenager during all these events, but the one that leaves a lasting impression was the Olympics. That was a truly magical event.
You should have just said every great Houston/UT moment of the last 2 decades. I was at the Randy Johnson game. I always sat in the 5 dollar outfield seats sold the day of the game, that was one of the rare times when me and my friends had to get to the dome before daybreak to get one of those tickets.

My Welcome to Houston and Happy Birthday present. Coogs over Tech. Epic. Best game I've ever been to by far. never been to any Rockets game that was really very noteworthy. #4,10,13,14,16,19 of the Win Streak. That game where Yao went 11 for 11 from the field.
The greatest was seeing Eddie hit that 3 to ice game 4 against the Jazz in the 1997 WCF. Second favorite was Game 3 of the World Series against the White Sox. Third best was my only A&M football game. My wife is an Aggie, and we got awesome tickets from my dentist who is also an Aggie. I went to Trinity in SA, so I had never really been to a college football game. I don't remember what year it was, but it was the game where the undefeated Sooners came to Kyle Field and got their asses kicked by a freshman quarterback. There was also much snogging with the wife every time the Aggies scored, which was a nice bonus.
1997 Astros playoff clinching victory against the Cubs. Mike Hampton threw a complete game and thousands ran onto the field like it was a thursday night college football game.
