Definitely the Kiss of Death. There were a lot of other great moments but that was just pure poetry.

Sampson beating the Lakers with Hakeem ejected for fighting with Mitch Kupchak. That Laker team won 5 championships and had some hall of famers, Magic Johnson, James Worthy, Kareem, Pat Riley was coach.

Maxwell hitting the 3 in game 7 to seal the Rockets FIRST CHAMPIONSHIP.

The KOD was great, but not as great as the 2 above.

I couldn't find video of the OT tip by Hakeem or block of Starks by Olajuwon on youtube. Another good one is when Hakeem stuffs KJ cleanly on a breakaway dunk and you see Danny Ainge come into the picture whining :D

    I'm torn. I don't think I can pick one.

I'll say this though...I was at Game 7 in 1994. When Max hit that shot, I knew that was it. I literally had tears in my eyes.

with respect to maxwell in game 7...i think the kod was purely unbelievable:

    1. down 3-1 without homecourt
    2. home team hadn't lost a game 7 in over a decade...19 times i believe
    3. underdog the whole playoffs and solidified ourselves with back to back titles.
    4. avoided any fluke talks.

That would get my vote as well. As soon as he hit that shot, I thought to myself "Oh my God....we're actually going to win this thing"

Having been a Houston sports fan since....well, BIRTH....I had never been able to say that to myself. It was a HUGE moment.

    I'm itching for fight!

Those of you who saw Max's 3 pointer in Game 7, don't you remember the feeling?? MadMax says it brought tears to his eyes. Me too. At no point in Rockets history have I felt that kind of charge. Game 7 was tremendous but the Knicks wouldn't go away. That shot was the dagger felt around the world. I've got tears in my eyes right now thinking about it.

I love Mario's Kiss of Death and the other plays, but nothing stands up to Max's 3 pointer. It was like the weight of the (NBA) world falling off my shoulders.

Someone who remembers this well please explain what other moment was greater than this and why. If you were too young, don't bother responding.

I voted the Dream's block of John Starks because of its importance. Because if Hakeem had not blocked that shot, I am pretty sure that shot would have went in because of how he was on fire in that game.
And speaking of the Kiss of Death. It was hilarious in last week's game against the Suns when Bill and Clyde brought on Dan Majerle. They told him to look in the direction of Mario Elie and he replied, "Hey is he blowing a kiss from up there. I still get nightmares from that shot."

Look, I cant pick one. So many great moments there.

A couple of things stand out for me here.

    1. I don't care what people think of our current jersey, the old school jersey looks brilliant. We should go back to that.

    2. Doesn't the 1997 season just feel like yesterday? Doesn't it feel like we are still waiting to play the next game again Chicago in the final.....I still feel like thats unfinished business!

What's wrong with you people? That block Dream had in Game 6 vs. New York is was won Houston its first title. If he didn't get there in time, that shot goes in, and the city is without its first-title-ever. Nothing beats that.
