It's not really a fine trilogy, it's a fine movie and sequel.....and an embarrassing POS with sofia crapola.

Haven't seen Schindler's List. I've been meaning to watch this for the longest time. I also want to see Taxi. I know there are tons of good flicks I haven't seen.

Gone With the Wind has so much underlying racism I don't understand why it is still considered great. I know it was made in a different time by for black people that movie is a travesty.

Casablanca ... I am leary of "classics" ever since I watched Citizen Kane and found out it sucked all kinds of ass.

I haven't seen ET, Jurassic Park, or Schindler's List. I will try and avoid most Spielberg movies from now on if I can.

The difference is that Casablanca is a classic because it's got a smart, witty script, and good writing never goes out of style. Citizen Kane is considered great because it was ahead of it's time in film technique, but you can't really appreciate it now because tons of movies since then have done the same.

Casablanca is the most amazing movie I've ever seen. And i've watched a bunch. What also makes it great was the metaphor to America's involvement in WWII.

Every line in that movie is delivered with pinpoint accuracy and so much wit. U can quote every fn line, its that incredible. Plus, no one has ever delivered **** so smooth as boogie.

girl asks boogie, "where were u last night?
boogie, "that's so long ago, i don't remember."
    girl, will i see u 2nite?
boogie, I never plan that far ahead.

By far the best movie I've ever seen.

A good movie. I got on a Hitchcock kick a few years ago and watched a bunch of his flicks I never had before. I'm glad I did.

yeah you might want to skip this classic.

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0004972/

birth of a nation... it too was ahead of its time for movies.

Besides N by NW and Vertigo, what others do you recommend?

I've only seen Psycho and the Birds.
