As far as their career I'd say the top 2 are Duncan and Kobe. I'd give the edge to Duncan due to the impact he has had on both sides of the floor his entire career and still evident today.
Career wise? 1. Duncan 2. Garnett 3. Bryant 4. Nowitzki 5. Nash 6. Pierce 7. Allen 8. Ginobili 9. Billups 10. Carter 11. Jamison 11. Hamilton 12. Marion
Confusing question. Are we comparing resumes or simply talking about who is currently the best basketball player?
Duncan has been the best player of this generation, no doubt. Over Nash, KG, Dirk and even Kobe. His teams have never won less that 50 games or the equivalent in a shortened season. He has won multiple MVPs, multiple finals MVPs, an all star for 14 years and the only player in NBA history to have been named to the All NBA team as well as All Defensive team his first 13 years in the league. Just amazing the career he has built up! The only reason Kobe is tops in some (delusional) people's mind is because he demanded to play with the Lakers and was a perimeter player when the NBA shifted towards favoring players such as he. But any true knowledgable NBA fan will tell you Duncan is simply the best of his generation.
I think the debate is greatest player of this group. And the only argument is Duncan or Kobe. Duncan.
Ray Allen and Nash should be on this list. My list in order: Duncan Garnett Nowitzki Kobe Ginobili Allen Pierce Nash Billups
I can't believe I'm in the minority on this one. KOBE OVER DUNCAN PEOPLE at least Kobe doesn't put me to sleep. Seriously though, Kobe has a chance to take the all time scoring title. I guess Duncan's consistent but maybe I'm just a big Spurs hater.
I still think Duncan is the best of all. Ill take 15/10/3 and 2 blocks while being an elite defender against 21/6/3 from dirk. Duncan anchors one of the best defenses on the league at age 38. Also he scores less than Dirk, but he also takes fewer FGs.
Career 1.Duncan 2. Dirk 3. Kobe Dirk before Kobe because he won a championship without a second star. Kobe alway had one or more superstar bigs on his championship teams.
