I'm talking about in their physical primes. Who's the more extraordinary physical specimen?

Damn, that is a good question. Remember how much of a physical freak Shaq was in his early days? He was big, cut, and so nimble/agile for a big man. I think I still have to give the edge to Lebron though because I've never seen anyone with his combination of height/bulk and quickness.

    Good question.

I voted for Shaq, I mean Lebron is amazing. But shaq was so strong big and quick. There was really nothing anybody could do to stop him. With lebron there is some way to stop him. For shaq there wasn't (ok maybe fouling). And that was all a result fo the Physical gifts Shaq had.

I just watched clips of Shaq's 60+pt /20+reb game against the Clippers. Dude was a complete beast.

    agility > strength :: Hakeem > Shaq

in my book. That's why I don't think Shaq was a LEGENDARY player. Strength is not worth much comapared to skill in basketball imho. Lots of people will disagree but tis was I believe.

Dream had more agility, quickness, and poise than either one.

Dream in his prime versus LeChoke? No contest.

No one has ever come close to moving the way that Shaq did at his size.

There are other physically gifted 6'9 players maybe not as gifted as Lebron but close enough. Lebron is special because he has the quickness, the strength AND he has the skillset of a PG. If he didn't have that skillset he could easily be another Rudy Gay. Shaq was a very skilled player as well but he would have been fairly difficult to stop even without them.

I'm taking Shaq. However has LerBon peaked or is his prime still yet to come?

Prime Shaq and Prime LerBon would mean 2 decades of rings. LeShaq O'James.

Dude this ain't a beauty contest...all that matters is the physical side of things.

LeBron is impressive, but Shaq in his prime was a whole other species of man...

I think that Dwight has Shaq on hops but I would still give the trophy to Shaq in his prime when comparing the two.

But I would have to say Shaq had the power alone to rip a tree from its roots...

    maybe.

    Shaq.

    Agreed.
What? Not being as good as Hakeem doesn't stop you from being legendary. Larry Bird was a legendary player, and he wasn't as good as Hakeem.

I'll pick Shaq simply because Mister James doesn't impress me a whole lot right now. Besides, Shaq in his prime was pretty freakin' amazing. Not Dream's level, but still pretty damned amazing.

No way Lebron wins this poll after his performance the last two games but.. Ive gotta go Lebron. I think Shaq and Lebron are in their own echelon of physical specimens but Lebron is just something else. Based upon his physical attributes the man is not limited in any way.

Did you ever see Dream go up against Shaq?
