Yup you would be right. Something about Martin took it to far when they were in the bed recording a scene.

I don't think so. Their best years was when they had the actress who played Miss Swan. I'm pretty sure it was not the 1st season.

People tend to forget that Seinfeld, even to Seinfeld fans, was really bad the last two or three seasons. You can look back on them nostalgiacly and excuse them, but fans like myself saw the show as a shadow of itself.

Oddly enough, Cheers is just now seeming dated. Seinfeld seemed dated as soon as the show ended.

I was one of the people who watched Seinfeld on a regular basis. In retrospect, it isn't nearly as good as folks portray it to be, on the whole, although there were some classic moments.

They did pick the perfect tribute song to go out on. I didn't think so at the time, but that song was perfect.

But, just like Dice Clay, comedians in the 90's had schtick, and he was one of them.

    Here's my favorite Seinfeld mock:

    <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/W9dFl4ay_uc&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/W9dFl4ay_uc&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Now that I think about it, it does seem that more of the shows I love got noticeably worse before ending, rather than the other way around.

My Favorite Shows That Got Worse:

Scrubs definitely peaked around seasons 3/4/5. I've actually been pleasantly surprised by season 8, it's been a lot better than 6 or 7. But it's just not quite the same as it used to be.

Highlander, one of my all-time faves, peaked in season 4, and then went from "eh" in season 5 to "tragically bad" in season 6.

Death Note was good all the way through, but the first 25 episodes were far better than the last 12.

Dexter thus far has peaked at season 2, and I have a tough time imagining they'll ever make it back to those heights (their best 2 characters who were ever in the show were Lundy and Doakes, who both made their exits in season 2).

South Park has had some very good episodes in the later seasons, but it's not as consistently brilliant in the past few seasons as it once was.

My Favorite Shows That Got Better or Stayed the Same

Great Teacher Onizuka in general was absolutely excellent all the way through.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine noticeably jumped up in quality in the middle of season 3. It never spiraled downward, getting better every year from there on out. There's something to be said for going out on the top of your game, but every time I watch the last episode and that camera zooms away from the station, I bemoan that it's really over and think to myself how many more great hours of story that cast and those writers had in them.

    The Cosby Show.

The last several years were painful to watch. I couldn't believe that the writers thought putting a graduation on for an entire episode would be entertaining.

I KNEW someone was gonna mention SG-1 (my favorite show in the history of television shows.) But i'd have to agree.

Get ready for epic nerdy Stargate post.

When Michael Shanks left at the end of Season 5, they brought in that Corin Nemic guy, and he sucked. He kinda grew on me in the later half of that season, but its just not SG-1 w/o Daniel Jackson. Speaking of incomplete SG teams, you can't have Stargate SG-1 without RDA. I mean, come on. The dude is the franchise. And hes my favorite actor of all time. Ben Browder was alright, but no one will ever live up to Jack O'neill. Seasons 9 & 10, blegh. And i dont watch Atlantis.

One of the most entertaining and deepest shows ive ever seen. If you havent seen it, i highly recommend it. Im out.

SBTB didn't go downhill when they went off to college. It went downhill when Kelly and Jessie's characters disappeared and Tori appeared and then they hooked up Zack with Lisa.

Peg had a miscarriage IRL, so they made her tv pregnancy a dream.

The final seasons of Married with Children was the Al Bundy show. Kinda sad the quality dipped. Even so, Fox should've gave them a real final episode after being alive for more than a decade.

I thought the Sorpranos kind of jumped the shark when Dr. Melfi was raped. They set you up to care about this woman and then brutally rape her on camera. She kind of struggles with it for the rest of the 20 minutes left in the show and then it's literally never brought up again. I thought that was a big ****-you to the audience and I never respected the show as much afterwards. Furio and Carmela was indeed stupid and Artie started out as the show's heart, the one character who wouldn't give in to darkness (when he chose to forgive Tony). Then they make him emo over t*** McGee? Awful.

Hmmm, I'd never heard that fans thought Seinfeld dipped in the last few seasons. I'm a huge fan (hence the moniker), and I think the final seasons are the best ones.

Can't see it at work, but I trust that your favorite Seinfeld mock involves:
    "Gorn Nuts."
    "Corn Nuts!"
    "Gorn Nuts."
    "Coooornnnnn Nuts!"

And, "Is a a corn, or is it a nut?"

Nope, it's basically a parody of the masturbation episode.

What does Jugdish have to do with Seinfeld?

Agreed. The show went into the more absurd, and it was great.

Kenny Roger's chicken moves into town and Jerry and Kramer switch personalities? Kramerica industries? Serenity now, insanity later? Elaine's horrid dancing? The hits kept coming.
