Unsolved Mysteries. Robert Stack got so full of himself. Robert, you know damn well that baby didn't come back to exact baby revenge. Binkie to the FACE!

But seriously, as a skeptic, the supernatural episodes were always the most entertaining. Hell, I bought the Ghost DVD set. They were like Are You Afraid of the Dark for big people. Anecdotal evidence is an art and they mastered it at Unsolved Mysteries.

I gotta say, SNL has has some nuggets of hilariousness ever since Samberg joined 3 or so years ago. Those music videos are tear-inducing.

Saved by the Bell - when they went to college, and then the Saved by the Bell "the new class". Man that sucked

Boy Meets World - After Topanga and Corey got married, it just went all kinds of down hill

on the once-great-then-eventual-trash note.. i'd have to include Roseanne..

it started out as an earnest, "edgy", comedy that went against the grain.. revolving around a blue-collar family and their struggles.. that unlike most shown on television at the time.. had a matriarchal.. held and ran family unit..

somehow.. that transfered over into.. a showcasing of self-conscious, egocentric plasticity.. with Roseanne using the show as an outlet for her self-indulgent, surrealistic fantasies.. a big blatant unashamed, "screw the characters and writing, i want to do what i want as Roseanne, the obnoxious star!"

So true. So so true. That show just went down the tubes after he died.

Seinfeld and LOST are two major exceptions, IMO. Alias seemed to end on its feet.

It's awfully hard for shows not to fall off a steep peak, especially when they make the common regrettable decision to keep milking the cow after a principal actor walks away.
    X-Files

There's the VERY common slip into soap opera hell, when they just start rotating who's sleeping with whom and the plot/show itself is lost.
    Friends

Then there's the ones that just didn't have a plan beyond the first season and went into a rudderless creative limbo.
    Heroes

Simpsons and ER...just got stale after doubling their shelf life.

Boston Legal was waned... not unbearable yet.

    Scrubs

One show that never gets old, as many times as I see the same episodes, yet it still is greatness...

    wait for it....

I forgot to toss (I think) a new one to the pot that may be semi-upsetting to some.

    The Sopranos.

I want to say it was about S3, when all of a sudden they started chucking in ridiculous and inane subplots, a major example being Artie declaring he was insanely in love with Adriana despite her engagement to Chris. Carmella-Furio was equally absurd. The show was AMAZING when it focused only on two things: the business and Tony's family life. When they started
to try and focus on 8 characters a season, it became a mess.

Word, I wish it could have lasted longer.

Unfortunately Martin caught too many feelings for Gina off cameras.

I always that show was freaking amazing. I loved all 3 seasons... I still do. I make it a point to re watch all 3 seasons every few months to remind me of how funny they were...

i've never heard of this.. is this factual..?

i assumed he dropped the show to "focus" on his movie career.. which never did go anywhere..

I have never looked it up but I have heard this explanation a lot.

Something about Martin making too many sexual moves on Gina off air and you know she's already married to Duane Martin.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_(TV_series)

Actually click that link it explains a bit of it at the bottom. Scroll down to cancellation.

Yeah, Campbell actually filed charges of sexual harrassment against him from what I recall.

Heroes- I tried to stick with the show hoping it would get back to the level it first appeared, but they completely failed. I can't even bring myself to watch that show anymore.
