Aqua Teen Hunger Force - Season 4 (beginning with "Dirtfoot") was the absolute end of this fantastic series.

Once they started dating, it became too much of a chick show.

    SportsCenter.

Letterman, once he started getting into politics.

    - That 70's Show after Foreman/Kelso left.
    - 4400 after you find out what actually happened to the 4400 while they were missing.
    - Heroes after season one.
    - Mythbusters when they started blowing stuff up just because they think people want to see things blow up instead of actually doing a myth.

    The X-Files

After they finished the mythology that they'd built and Duchovny left the show, they should've just ended it. Those last two years with Agent Doggett and Agent Reyes just sucked.

    Nip/Tuck

After the Carver season, it went downhill in a HURRY.

Completely agree. This is the only show I've ever watched where I completely tuned out.

Miami Vice. Blown away by the first season, all downhill from there.

ER, 24, BSG. ER used to be such an awesome show until they started making it all my children with doctors and all the cool people died/left. Battlestar Galactica was soo good in the beginning, the second half of the final season was a total disappointment. 24, action oriented so obviously no major artistic/philosophical in depth development expected, but at least the older seasons (1-5) had a coherent and central plot. season 6 was alright, season 7 everyone told me to skip, and current season..good action, but too much Jekyll and Hyde involved.

I think the last season with Mulder and Scully was actually pretty bad. Doggett and Reyes breathed a little extra life into the show, but it still went downhill pretty quick. It hurts me to say it, though....Absolutely my favorite show.

Twin Peaks anyone? It's not that I don't like season 2, but it just gets ridiculous towards the end.

I may be in the minority(no pun) but Lost this year is starting to scare me a lil bit. Fortunately, thanks to Lost, I now watch the Unusuals which is a pretty interesting new show.

Southpark was pretty good its first few seasons, but then turned r****ded.

There may not be a big fanbase here, but Stargate SG1 was terrific for the first several seasons, then headed south with the last three seasons.

Isn't it given that all TV shows, even the great ones, will go south eventually??

i thought lost has been pretty decent so far, it was heading that direction 2 season ago but they have fixed it. rome was another good show, i thought it was pretty consistent.

Almost every show I have ever watched except Seinfeld I have found to be terrible by the time it ended.

Heroes: The first season was one of the best individual seasons of any show ever made imo. Season 2 was watchable imo, I know I am in the minority but I really did not mind season 2. However, season 3 has just been a joke that has ruined this once fantastic show.

South Park: I would say the cut-off point between greatness and well, whatever you want to call it they have now was when Mr. Garrison became Ms. Garrison. The show went straight downhill form there. There have been a few good ones since then (Make Love not Warcraft, Die Hippie Die, Gingers). This became the point where not EVERY SP episode was a classic. ONly 1 or maybe 2 a season.
