Great news for the competitive ones. The newly approved realignment plan sends a strong Eastern Conference team (Hornets) to the West next season. http://www.nba.com/news/realign_031117.html
Hornets are looking pretty good this season. One thing I'm not sure of. Since I don't know America's map, do they really put teams into divisions based on geographical locations?
As far as I know, New Orleans is on the west of Mississippi, so NBA got that right. Now I can watch Yao Ming at least twice a year without having to drive to Houstion. Shrimpie
I think the NBA did the best they could. Memphis shouldn't be in the West and Phoenix shouldn't be in the Pacific and Portland should, Phoenix isn't even in a state that borders the Pacific. Overall not bad though.
Bring on New Orleans, they're in for culture shock when they see the West! New Orleans' frontcourt isn't that strong.
PJ Brown, Magloire, and Mashburn? i guess average for the west, but definately one of the strongest frontcourts in the east.
