You think they're glam????? They seem more like a post-modern Elton John/Bee Gees. Edit: How do you post YouTube links???? is it the same as pics???
Copy the EMBED code that is next to the video you want to post (on the youtube page) and place it in your post here.

That's a great list. Also try: Of Montreal - Wraiths Pinned to the Mist and Other Games. I didn't know how to you tube it on this site, but here is the link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L8cCPH1qnYI Broadcast - Goodbye Girls T - Rex - Children of the Revolution The Sleepy Jackson - Good Dancers Lush - For Love Ladykillers 500 The Pixies - I've been tired Gouge Away Hey Dig for Fire Kings of Leon - The Bucket Day Old Blue
Isn't it weird when we think we "discovered" a band even though they've been around forever? That's what's going on with me and Deat Cab.

Speaking of Minus the Bear, if you're looking for some reeeally good music to listen to, check out their album "Highly Refined Pirates." Definitely their best one. Pachuca Sunrise and everything off "Menos El Oso" is good but almost sounds like a different band. Haha vwiggin...tell me about it. I had heard of but never listened to Death Cab for Cutie before the Postal Service released "Give Up," and now I'm still discovering everything I've been missing. Such as...the album "We Have The Facts And We're Voting Yes." SUCH a great album. Can't wait for that second Postal Service one though!
One of my all-time favorite bands. There isn't much of them on YouTube, but they are one of the best live acts I've ever seen. Check out their albums No Kill No Beep Beep, Different Damage, and Power. These videos don't do them justice. I just found this chick a few months ago (Regina Spektor)... She's got talent falling out of her ass IMO.. Her CD "Begin to Hope" is crazy good (reminds me of a mix of Fiona Apple & Sarah McLachlan) <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/4NBArHgZntE"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/4NBArHgZntE" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> Also, Sting with Chris Botti - Moon Over Burbon Street <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/YCwx0anIdKU"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/YCwx0anIdKU" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
@Mr. Brightside... Royksopp is always a good thing!!! Architecture in Helsinki- "Do the Whirlwind" - sounded a bit like the Tom Tom Club...but with a kick ass video. @hooroo... Jesus & Mary Chain...good stuff from my growing up years!!!
I can recommend stuff that many people are not familiar with as it is not in the mainstream (and these are all albums). "Monster Movie" - Can "Future Days" - Can "Tago Mago" - Can "Agaetis Byrjun" - Sigur Ros "( )" - Sigur Ros "Takk" - Sigur Ros "A Tribute to Jack Johnson" - Miles Davis "Get Up With It" - Miles Davis "Heaven Or Las Vegas" - Cocteau Twins
Get back... Anything by Louis Armstrong and His Hot Five or Hot Seven The Complete Recordings by Robert Johnson
Here's some crazy techno (Freeland), hippy house (Hoxton), and electro house madness (Collins/Mason)... I can't believe I forgot the godfathers of Great but obscure music - Velvet Underground. I would start with the album Velvet Underground, and then go from there. Some other songs by VU that are easier to grasp for new listeners are: Sunday Morning Sweet Jane Who Loves the Sun Then of course there are plenty of great songs by Lou Reed. Try a very underated and obscure one called Street Hassle. Get the full version. The song is great and strange, and made stranger when Bruce Springstein makes a cameo appearence in it.
Go out and buy or download OK Computer by Radiohead. Right now. Trust me. If you want to start out semi-mainstream but leaning towards the indie genre, I suggest The Strokes-Is This It? or The White Stripes-White Blood Cells. I could name about 30 indie bands that I love, but those are decent starters (though not indie)
she is real good. do you listen to Feist at all? <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/jVrqsRodOMY"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/jVrqsRodOMY" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
