Love Zach's articles. I don't always agree with him, but his viewpoint is generally pretty fair with respect to how the game is played and how the cap is managed.
Interesting bit about Nick rubbing RGV's coaching staff the wrong way. Their coach got fired this past season, no?
If we only got rid of Joey Dorsey I would be happy. But to also get Ty lawson in return is just ridiculous.
The best part was when he called our fourth quarter offense just some doodle with Harden dribbling all over the place.
"Nick Johnson has some potential, but he shot poorly in both Houston and the D-League, and he clashed with the Rockets coaching staff in Rio Grande, per several league sources." ---------------- Well, this is news to me. Wish Nick well but this trade just getting better and better.
I think this is an underrated reason why we got Lawson so cheaply. It's certainly not the ONLY reason, but is a factor. The timing for this trade couldn't have been any better for Houston. Not only was Lawson's value at an all time low due to his obvious off the court issues, but their really are few good teams who need a PG at that contract he is carrying while the rebuilding teams don't want ANY type of head case near their young players.
I buy it. I thought his relationship with coaches was pretty obvious in his Red Nation Round Table interview.
Love Lowe's writing style even if I don't always agree with him. Will be interesting to see how Lawson and JH mesh. Lawson created the 7th most points last year, more than Kyrie and Blake. Food for thought.
