    Two opposing opinions here.

Hmmm... I wonder whose take the majority will agree with?

Also - Sharp said no one has ever praised Pat Beverly, yet I distinctly remember Curry praising Beverly on a national TV post game interview. Anyone have that footage?

They compared him to boogie cousins. Patrick is not even close to a psycho like that. Patrick plays hard and does a great job balancing out that intensity when the whistle blows and the play is over.

It's funny that the proof they present that he's a dirty player consisted a clip of him taking a cheap shot FROM Cousins' in a play 4 minutes into a game, another video of him making a fantastic defensive play against Miami where he makes a run down block and then steals a pass, another clip in which Chris Paul clearly flops, and a collection of clips of him just destroying Holiday in a preseason game.

How does any of that equal dirty? Terrible article.

All that bs about Beverley playing dirty is what I would expect to read on a Thunder message board, not coming from sports journalists, who presumably watch a few games with semi-objectivity. I hate dirty players and I've never seen Patrick make a dirty play or one that was unreasonably dangerous (like undercutting someone in the air). He is an elite defender that disrupts the flow of the other team's offense.

Plus it was incredibly insulting to describe Beverley as the guy who tries too hard because he's not that good.

Just a really lazy, clueless piece.

I work in OKC and a guy I work with is guessing the boos for Beverley's introduction will be louder than the cheers for Durant's introduction.

Great point because not only is he quick enough to go for those steals and not get blown by, he is shooting 44.2% in his last 12 games from the 3.

Pretty sure the article was written with tongue firmly within cheek. They're big fans of Pat.

And I love how Simmons and Ryan are basically still using that first Rockets-Clippers game as their basis for how they view the team. First impressions in sports are rarely reliable, especially in a season as long as the NBA's.

suggesting someone is a dirty player isn't 'tongue in cheek'.

this article was a total insult and what exactly did u find witty about it?
