I honestly think the 2 man game on the weakside of the triangle is perfect for the pnr and would fit Lin or Harden. The only thing is you never see it because all of Phil Jackson's teams have had mediocre 1's who can't get in the paint. I was hoping when the Lakers fired Mike Brown they would bring back the triangle and start running 1-4 or 1-5 pnr with Nash on the weakside but it never happened.

In the triangle though the pnr is not the first option, neither is the 3 ball. These are the Rockets strengths so yeah it wouldn't fit the personnel

I wouldn't call Adelman, Popovich, or Phil Jackson lazy. The coaches that always run set plays are the lazy ones.

Simpiicity of our offense and defense is due principally to our youth and inexperience.

Coaches said early in the season when we introduce so many new things, the youngsters tend to overthink on the court. They are so slow in their movements. For that same reason, I remember on article say coaches stopped giving the scouting report for Greg Smith to read so he can play more instinctively.

Before he was traded, KMart during the training camp said that coaches adjusted this season by not giving too much information. Don't know if it was an exaggeration, but he said that in the shortened training camp last season (2011-2012), coaches gave something like 24 plays for them to learn right away. That's why the vets complained and said let's go back to the Adelman offense which they already knew.

I think the coaches have more up their sleeve. Not just for this year.

I wouldn't call them lazy. But hard work doesn't beat smart work. Avery Johnson called every play and he was easy to gameplay. A smart coach does whatever works. And wasting 8 seconds every possession to get your play call in doesn't help you win.
