Y'all are mad. Ha. I actually enjoyed the comparison to soccer teams of the past, personally.

    Boring, repetitive article.

I hate that people think PBev is some type of dirty player

Exactly, nothing about the Rockets fits in with the "bad boy" requirements, except some kind of personal dislike for Howard and Harden.

It really took a perfect storm to come to the point of hate. In an article about the Rockets, they hardly talk about the Rockets.

If this team is as really hated by other teams/players as the media portrays them out to be then I'll embrace them even moreso. Longtime Rockets fans should love the nod to our franchise's history of having players people love to hate:

Akeem in his first couple of years in the league
    Vernon Maxwell
Othella Harrington when he fought Shareef Abdur Rahim
Walt Williams knocking Shawn Bradley square in the jaw
    Barkley bodyslamming Shaq
Rafer Alston taking down half of the Phoenix Suns team by himself
    Ron Artest being Ron Artest

We need some edge on this team so hate on, haters.

PS: Concepcion or "N3twork" in his olden days is a hack of a writer.

Yep: positive article. Comparing the Rockets to historically great teams: an Italian soccer dynasty, the bad boy Pistons, and the Spurs.

In one sense, yes the Rockets are sorta hated around the league. I know a lot of NBA fans who can't stand Harden and who even crap on DH. I have to constantly remind them how well Howard played in the playoffs last season.

On the other hand, the Bad Boy Pistons were tough as nails and played great defense. Despite the great start, I don't think this team can be compared to them yet.

Because the media decided to turn us into bad boys. First, Morey, then Howard, then Harden.

Then they worshipped Parsons. They didn't love him when he was with HOU, but loved him on DAL.

Like Arian Foster said, media have their own agenda. They write something often enough, all of them begin to parrot the same lines. #staysuckafree

Why is him writing about soccer such a sticking point with some of you? Do you not see the comparison he's making? Expand your horizons a bit. There are things to take away from ALL aspects of sports.....not just basketball. Catenaccio was regarded as being an affront to the beautiful game, and Morey's iteration of "No Long 2's" is being met with much of the same hatred. I personally find the parallels fascinating, even though I do think it's highly dramatized. I think the MEDIA hates the Rockets, and because of that, casual fans (sheeple) decide that they too hate us.

Let's embrace. Morey needs to acquire the most hated, physical players in the league. We need a true enforcer, bring back MWP.

The guy is a good writer. He's probably been waiting years to use that soccer story in a basketball column, and I get it. The problem I have with him is that so much of the content is crap.

would love this team more if we had a similar coach to chuck daily.. mchale just rolls the ball out and tells harden to go create and do everything, or give the rock the dwight in the post (which is still terrible because he gets stuck under the goal and gets blocked by the longer defenders). dwight in the post just doesnt work, and when it does its usually against slower unathletic big men where hes able to spin off and jam it home. when hes gettin double teamed omg its almost an auto turnover or a bad pass. also his point of release on that left hand hook shot is not high at all. guys like ibaka or deandre jordan welcome that short shot everytime. I need more pick and roll with a blend of guys moving and cutting without the ball instead of standing around watching harden dribble/drive or dwight in the post. point is! sorry for this long rant, i think and im sure along with many others, a better coach would do wonders.. or if mchale suddenly channels his inner Bill Finch/KC Jones..

This guy must read what i say. He said the truth.

I use to enjoy talking crap about other teams but now I cant. I would be a hypocrite. We have bigger issues and the majority fail to realize it forever. People here like to read Morey's agenda and think thats the law, "Facts".

If a guy can shoot a midrange jumper and score 2 easier than going to the rim, what difference does it make? It's 2 points...

He flails occasionally, that elbow the other night was a bit of an overreaction. However, the guy gets SO close to the defender, he has to jump around and throw his arms around to keep his balance....it's not flailing, he's just like an annoying fly you can't away, he just keeps coming back at you.

I don't like what or offense has become, when the three ain't falling and the refs ain't callin, you can assume we'za fallin.

We need anothe creator off the bench, or eventually a Chris Bosh type four, capable of doing everything at least decently well.
