It's a high level defensive team with only average offensive efficiency.

We have a top level perimeter playmaker-scorer (Harden is better than TMac) and a top level center with some injury issues. We also got a PF (DMo/Scola) who can score some in the post, but isn't the kind of guy who demands double teams and causes havoc. The issue is that the rest of the perimeter guys don't generate a whole lot off the dribble so it is easier to shut down the offense when you have the one playmaker under control.

That team didn't go anywhere in the playoffs. And this team feels like it's headed to the same fate without a significant roster addition. Is Josh Smith our Ron Artest? Is there a Ron Artest out there?

That team lost Yao and he never returned for the playoffs... no comparison

Once again they're crowning something that hasn't won jack. Like back when the Suns 7 seconds or less offense was suppose to be the blueprint. Rockets never even made it past the first round yet.

Thanks Dennis Green.. . Maybe ESPN should replace their NBA page with a redirect to nba.com/spurs for the next 6 monthe to avoid unnecessary coronation.

I hate how ESPN does this - they tell their guys, no one talk about team X until we are showing their game on prime time TV and then we can talk about them....so if the Lakers are on TV 15 times, people will be writing about them even though they aren't worth writing about....

Interesting point. I hadn't thought about it but Rockets articles have seemed to coincide with the ESPN TV schedule.

Looking at the highlights from last night, Harden padded his lead in 3 point assisting. I believe I counted 6 more and I think they were all in the corner.

Harden is just so damn good at getting open shots for this team and the offense is unreal when we are knocking them down.
