Dwight accomplished more in the NBA than both of your boys combined.
And you comparing him to Blake Griffin and think those two guys are going to intimidate him? Makes sense.

Any ways, wonder who the last 4 teams will be.
    I'm guessing
    #4 - Chicago
    #3 - San Antonio
#2 - Indiana (They seem to be huge favs this year)
    #1 - Miami

this is a great point...ppl are acting as injuries cant be managed, avoided(play less agressivelly etc) or even played through...of course if you run your player 48min because you GM sucks and has not provided the bench or coach doesnt know how to manage PT you increase chance of the injury....so grizzlies were better team than OKC last year....

Odd that Hollins didn't get a gig this offseason. Adelman was basically wined and dined by Minnesota the moment he left the Rockets.

Wow, would have never expected Chicago to be #1. Great team but I still feel like they will rely on Rose way too much in the big games.

That piece about Jamal's newspaper-covered windows was funny.

Clippers are ranked too high. I think they're gonna fall apart.

Seriously they are Way too high on the bulls,I have my doubts about Rose carrying this on himself and if he gets injuried Chicago doesn't stand a Chance against either Miami or Indiana.

Well, in grantland's defense - the bulls are some of the biggest try-hards in the nba. (If this is for number of wins in the regular season.) If it is for chance at title... yeah, they are overvalued.

Wow, 3 of the 4 best team eastcoast??

Indiana is not the 4th best team. They are not better than the rockets. They just happen to have the ideal team to make it difficult for the Heat, but they are not a contender. They arebecoming overrated. George is great, but Hibbart and West are good players, Scola is also good but getting old. We do not know what Granger will bring, but the backcourt is just terrible.

Chicago above the Heat? I'm not that sold on the Bulls,
the team is not as good as it was a couple of years ago (when they had a good bench with Asik).

Both Indiana and Chicago would strugle to get home court if they played in the west.

If the Rockets had at least 30 games or so under their belt with this current squad and they were playing well, I could understand you saying this. They played in the ECF last season and took the eventual champs to 7 games. Their biggest flaw was their bench which they improved by adding a guy like Scola. They also get Danny Granger back whom they may or may not trade for another scorer, maybe a 6th man. Fact of the matter is, right now, the Pacers deserve to be rated above the Rockets because the Pacers did what they did last season and only improved in the offseason. The Rockets haven't played 1 regular season game yet with this current core group of guys, so it's a bit premature to rank them ahead of a contender (and yes the Pacers are most definitely a contender).

It's hard to understand Simmons with Derrick Rose's c*k in his mouth. What an overrated player. One of the least deserving MVP's of all time. Harden and Westbrook are better than him.

Iverson (because it happened to be the same year as one of Shaq's monster years), Nash, Kobe (lifetime achievement award) were all questionable in recent history... Lebron should probably have 6 or 7 MVP's if it wasn't for the ever-changing criteria for MVP year to year. They should just rename the award "elite player with the best story of that season" award.

The Pacers won 40 something games last year playing in the East, jthey presented a match-up issue for the Heat especially when Wade had horrible games but really does that make them the 4th best team in the league?

THey struggle to generate offense and Granger is already out. Scola's a nice boost but he's probably not as good as David West whom he'll be spelling so I don't know if he's the spark they need to get a non Paul George offense going.
