I heard the same thing. I officially don't like him. True he is entitled to do as he pleases but for real, he got paid a ton to do nothing. Magic put together a good nucleus and strong back front court and then he bounces.

Boo on you Mr. Hill. You are on my list with Bud Adam and VSpan.

i read something like the magic gave him a near 100 million contract but he was only for 30% of it.

Or Barbosa, which is why Jalen Rose almost never saw the floor.

Maybe I'm blind, but I don't see how Hill is a good fit for this team. Maybe if he plays 10 minutes and is playing at a full sprint the entire time. Like someone else said, they may not be on a fast break every possession, but its running out in transition and creating matchup problems by not letting the defense set that makes their offense so successful... and I've never thought of Hill as that sort of player.

Just curious...do you or do you not have NBA League Pass? I have NBALP and I like to watch (when the Rockets aren't on) both Dwight Howard and Grant Hill. From watching alot of the Magic over the past 3 seasons, I see Hill as an excellent fit. I can only understand your comment if you have only casually watched Hill.

Did Orlando even make an offer to Hill? They are spending max money on Shard and can't even keep Darko. Why would they even make an offer to Hill to play backup.

I think they were ready to get rid of him and he was ready to move on. Best for both sides.

It's cool. He's still very smooth in transition. As a fan, you'll enjoy it. I'm thinking he'll do well. Hopefully, not too well on the 3 PHX games vs the Rockets. :)

The urge to win a ring is really a big thing with vets like Hill. Hill is a terrible 3 point shooter so I don't know if he is a great fit for the Suns. He is better than James Jones though, so maybe he is the guy to get them over the hump and get them that little edge to beat the Spurs.

Hill will be great for Phoenix. He can still drive. The regular season in the West is arguably less physical. Hill now gives them 3 play makers (Nash + Diaw). He no longer has to play the 2, he no longer has to play starters minutes. He should be able to produce. I don't think a half court set is a necessity for Hill. I'm not sure why its so hard to imagine him on an uptempo team.

Hill makes a much better 8th man than Jones. Hill is a much smarter and more efficient offensive player despite not having a 3 ball, which Jones has OK but isn't that great at it (38%). Jones was by far the weak shooter in the Suns rotation (37% from the field, next lowest was Bell at 43%).

Hill also frees up Diaw or Marion for big trade. And most of all, was a steal for an LLE.

If they Marion is part of the Garnett deal I can't see how that would be good for the West. They might get rid of Diaw or Marion--I would get rid of one if not both, but they will get a good player if not a great one (KG).

Grant Hill is a much better player to add than Knight. Nash has got most the PG covered and Barbosa has been growing leaps and bounds to fill in the rest. The last thing is for them to add a PG who can be cheated off of.

The Suns have a full MLE left and lots of trade options, so they can really be patient. A big superior to Marion/Amare/Thomas or another outstanding shooting swingman is who I think they will look for now.
