I read that somebody was considering buying the cheaper copy and then taking that copy back to a store, unopened, in order to get a refund. I'm not sure if that worked out or if every store's policy is the same though, not to mention it probably isn't worth it. As mentioned, I don't have the game nor have I attempted to use a feature similar to the one used in GT4, but I'll try to see if I can help. First of all, you will need some type of USB device, preferably a USB memory stick. I've read that things like the iRiver and iPod Shuffle work as well, but I believe the iPod itself as well as the PSP do not work. If you don't have one, you can probably get a USB memory stick pretty cheap somewhere. I guess that you will then attach that device to the USB port on your PS2 (it's right under the 1st controller port on my PS2 if that helps), and when you are in Photo Mode (or whatever), you should be able to save your pics to that device. Once that is done, you should be able to connect that to your PC USB port, where hopefully your GT4 pics will be, in JPEG format. Again, I have no idea if that will work, but I assume that is how it works given what I have read. There is Photography Guide at GameFAQs, but it doesn't seem to go very far into how to actually transport the pics (basically providing more or less what I said). I've seen these threads in several boards, but the one that reminded me of it today was here. Again, not very in-depth on the whole process, at least not right now, although they do seem to say what USB devices you can use. Hopefully you can find out a way to get this working. I'm probably about to go to bed, so I may not be able to help out anymore tonight. If you are still having problems, hopefully someone here who has the game and the pics working can help out, or maybe someone else with better USB knowledge can help. If you're up to it, maybe a bit of searching online can help as well. Hopefully (how many times have I used that word?) , you can figure it out from my explanation earlier.
Thanks for the links to the other site RC. There are some incredible looking photos there. Apparently all you have to do is plug in a flash drive and then just save it to it. (in the photo mode, you can also save your replays and then take photos of you racing.)
Whats everyone completion % so far? I'm at 5.0% and thats getting A annd B license and finishing Beganner's course. Got a longggg way to go. Does anyone got the Surpa RZ yet, if so how did you get it? I only got the SZ-R and you can't put a turbo in it. Overall its a great game and the best race sim out there, but I admit I was a little let down b/c it took so long to release it and its not that much better than GT3.
RC, I bought it for 49 at gameSucks, but Wal Mart has it for $37. UNLOCK TRACKS: http://www.gamepro.com/sony/ps2/games/cheats/42848.shtml Barely 25 days, 0%. I have played mostly arcade for practicing; I have all golds for the first 15 B license tests, but haven't graduated yet. Gold on Coffee Break 1. I disagree, it is MUCH MUCH better. I have not viewed this game on High Definition, but will buy the cables today. Anyone's wife as upset as mine because of playing the game so much?
Back in college I remember staying up all night to play the first Gran Turismo. I don't have the time these days, so I unabashedly use a Gameshark to cheat. I have everything unlocked the easy way.
It says i've only done 4%, but I've got all golds in 4 or 5 cups. Do you get fewer points if you soup your car up too much relative to the competition? I love this game. My only problem with it is the playlist.
They have the Nürburgring Nordschleife course in it. It takes about 10minutes to go for one round with a Lancia Delta Integrale untuned. The course has a lenght of about 22 km's. Crazy.
Had the chance to record myself these record times before I graduate my B license... 1'27.152 GOLD on License B-5 (4.69MB avi) 0'17.328 GOLD on License B-12 (5.28MB avi) 0'18.098 GOLD on License B-14 (5.37MB avi) 2'18.810 GOLD on License B-15 (4.84MB avi) share through www.YouSendit.com if you download more than once so thers can see it, please
Gameshark cheats are public on the Gameshark website. You just need to buy the Gameshark. Unrelated to the Gameshark, however, one easy money tip I saw on a game site was in the Special Conditions "Capri Rally (Easy)" race. You just need an A license here. There are two races (normal and reverse) in the Capri Rally and both are very easy to win. When you win the Capri Rally, you win a Toyota rally car worth around $265,000 or $275,000. I forgot exactly. But you can repeat the Capri Rally as many times as you want for easy money.
I only scored a 7.67000 on the geek test. I tried bro, but the geek just isn't in me. Long live teh cheaters! And thanks for that tip SoSoDef!
