QB - B, thought Shaub was decent. He did make some key turnovers though, it seemed like every pick/fumble came at a crucial time in the game. RB - A+, exceeded expectations and then some. Receiving - Andre Johnson: A. Rest of the bunch: C - Last year's receiving was much better, Jones/Walter didn't make enough plays. OD was not OD this year. Defense - D, terrible secondary, defense made zero plays really, decent run D. Coaching - F, I hate Kubiak, Bush, and the other defensive coaches. Overall - F, not only did this team fail to meet expectations, they also did so in epic fail fashion. I felt like choking myself most of the time this season anyway watching them find ways to lose. To cap it off, I still feel like choking myself right now after they won and screwed their draft slot.
Offense: B- It could have been so much better Defense: D+ If could have been better Coaching: F- It inhibited both the Offense and the Defense from being the best it can be. The Offensive, Defense and Special Teams Coaching should all be fired. They all totally and completely failed the players. They all completely failed. Rocket River
The only players with an A+ are Foster and Dre. Matt gets a B- because that's what Matt is...Above average. Nothing special. Everyone else gets F's Mario, Cush,
Season could not have gone worse. Start off strong getting everyones hopes up, lose to the winless Cowboys AT HOME, lose what 8 of the next 9 in a myriad of Rosencopteresque epic failures, lose Demeco for what maybe a career limiting injury right after signing him to a big contract, piss away a brillant season for Foster after struggling to find a running game since ever, and top it off with another pointless win to slide 6 spots or so in the draft outside of the reach of the impact players who might put you over the top! Ugh....
Foster = A+ (1600/600 'nuff said) Johnson = A+(for fighting thru injuries and Courtland Finnegan) Schaub = B (Very solid, few key errors keeps it from being A) OL = A/C (A for run blocking, C for pass blocking) Everyone else: F
QB: C+ RB: A+ WR: B- TE: C+ OL: B Coaching: C Overall Offense: B- -->Schaub had a terrible year by his standards, and at least partly because injuries robbed him of the receiving corps that made him look so good the last two years. Foster was a godsend that Kubiak underutilized. The line was good this year and didn't get enough credit. Overall, this group underachieved. They should have been in the 27+ ppg club with Philly, SD, and NE but kept going AWOL. DE: C DT: D LB: B- CB: F S: F Coaching: F Overall Defense: D- No need to explain. Head Coaching and Personnel: D- Idiocy and budget-driven decisions are a poor combination. Overall: D+ I never expected 11 wins with a far tougher schedule than the year prior...but 6 wins was a colossal failure. Silver lining was going 0.500 in the division and discovering Foster.
They FAILED, nothing else matters. 6-10 is a horrible record. With better coaching and a few defensive tweeks they could have easily been 10-6.
