Umm he's going to be an oversized SF that has the versatility to play the 4.

Either a B or B+ if they plan on using Marcus Morris as a 3 and have an upcoming trade. Otherwise probably a C

They probably would be title contenders in the RNBA

I thought grabbing Flynn was clever. Practically no risk there, give a recent top 10 pick a flyer on a rookie contract and see what happens. If he pans out, we have a good cheap point guard for 2 years and we go from there. If not, hold your nose for a year and don't pick up his option. Damned if there was a need for another PG, but whatever.

Morris I don't have an opinion on yet. Got rave reviews as a combo forward, but I don't know if you can make it in the NBA as a combo forward...and we damn sure don't need him as a PF. That means, if he can't defend at SF, it's a pick that doesn't work for me. But I'll trust that management thought this through and give it a year or two before being concerned.

B from me, and a sincere thank you to Daryl for ending the Brad Miller Era. ;)

I gave em an A based on the Marcus Morris (B+ pick) and the Minny draft where we raped Kahn (A+). Remember we bought our own 38th pick back, we basically traded Miller and the 23rd for Donatas and Flynn. Goodluck on Minny getting that first rounder, Kahn probably didn't look at the protections well enough. LOL!!!!!

    Grade: A

Marcus Morris will prove to be an absolute steal like Patterson was. The Rockets see him as a SF that has the versatility to play the 4 so get the another undersized PF stuff outta here. Shout out to the Suns for the head-scratcher at 13!

The Euro seems that he will be available to play right away and has a very high ceiling. The Spurs like him, which means I like him.

Brad Miller is off the books with a broken knee and Flynn provides us with a much better asset (young expiring contract). Thank you Kahhhnnnn!!!1

Parsons has proven to be much in the clutch. He potentially makes Budinger expendable since Chase has more trade value in a package deal.

    A!

Failed to trade up yet again for a position of major need.

Marcus Morris = A far shorter Louis Scola with less vertical jump, less rebounding tenacity and fewer post moves who will constantly get his shots rejected in the NBA low post for playing under the rim all night long.

D Mot******* piss poor attitude and a half effort who only wants to shoot outside and who doesn't like to rebound or defend (two of our major deficiencies last year).

My thoughts on this draft - Grade D

Add this to Morey's failure to retain a Hall of Fame Coach only to replace him with a coach with -0- track record of longevity or success and our miserable record in attracting any free agents the past few years. You can now put me down as major Morey skeptic. Thank goodness for the impending lockout as it will help make this whole draft a distant memory. Not good. :p

he doesn't have a perimeter game, and he's not quick enough to guard perimeter players at the nba level. better to let him play to his strengths as an undersized pf with a chip on his shoulder, like landry. remember those few games when landry was playing the 3? didn't last.

getting a guy like landry is great, but at 14 not so great. thats why i gave it a C.

We are on the treadmill of mediocrity. Suppose morris is good and we get rid of scola or Ppat. Does that really improve our team?

I've seen him get on fire. He shot 42% on pull up jumpers this past season so he does have a decent perimeter/mid-range game. Bill Self said that he's most complete player that he has ever coached. That's high praise from a great coach.

The Rockets staff thinks that he will have no problems guarding the 3. I trust them.
We're in a better position after this draft to acquire the star we desperately covet. Our roster added more depth. That's all you can ask for.

In Morey We Trust. Dude is a pimp.

I say B+, and here's how it will shake out:

    Lowry/Dragic (re-signed)
    Martin/Lee
    T-Will/Morris/Chandler
    Scola/P.Pat/Hill/Montie
    Chuck/Thabeet/Yao (re-signed)

    - C-Bud not re-signed

B-: morris was a very good pick, but it isn't turning around this franchise. We're still collecting assets, and nothing to show for them.

Nobody in this draft was going to have us on the pat to a quick championship. people in here always seem so pissed when every single move Morey makes doesn't fix everything immediately.

My grade is an A-. Very good day for the Rockets.

    Who is Chandler?
    Where is Flynn?
Why do we let C-Bud walk for nothing?

    How are you still posting?

I guess a B-, but I think that's more a reflection of the draft than the Rockets decisions.

I did prefer Leonard, but willing to take a risk on Morris as an SF, which definitely has more upside.

As far as Donatos, I just don't get excited about finesse playing big man who can't mix it up inside. From what I've read and seen, that's the type of player he is. Maybe he's just misunderstood and will be willing to put in the work.

    A D.

    B+ for the trade
C for 38th pick (would have preferred a role of the dice on Tyler)
F-- for the morris pick. Yuck Yuck Yuck.

I've never been more disappointed in Morey.

I hope he proves me wrong, though.

I believe he is referring to Chandler Parsons, our pick at #38.
