It's quite possible that the Rockets got the best player in that Wemby draft - as much potential as he has, he sabotages his own game not wanting to play the 5, thinking he's a guard and that injury could actually significantly shorten or end his career. Those blood clots can be life threatening and reoccurring. Just ask Chris Bosh. Crazy as it sounds, if Jalen continues to play like he has the last 50 games, he is arguably the best player in that draft .... Maybe he isn't the lead dog but a really good 2nd best player. The Rockets are in a really good place but have work to do.
A blue print to me is something that can be rather replicated more easily than not. To me what the Rockets did was not entirely unique but it was extremely hard to do and getting Ime due to him having a secks scandal.......that is one of the unique situations around the league. This was not easily replicable. Tanking is but the other stuff not.
Guessing Stone deserves an A now. At worst, I expect those against Stone will move the goalposts to Finals or bust. IMO, if Finals (or even Western Finals appearance) is the goal post for a GM that completely rebuilt the team, the GM deserves at least an A-.
