If we could do that deal that would be awesome. We would definitely win a ring if he came in but one could only dream. Come-on Daryl, make it happen.

Let's do a SnT right now. I believe will still owe the rights to Matt Maloney and Moochie Norris we can throw in Weiss and that should make the deal work.

Guys like Ben Gordon are the NBA equivalent to junk food. When I guy like this considers himself a superstar.......no thank you.

    Exactly, we don't need him....

Let's just re-sign Landry and be done with it.

personally i cant stand gordon he'll always be a scoring punch off the bench imo but he isnt really a PG and is too small for a starting SG. another example of a great college player turned slightly above average pro.

if he does go to moscow I would love to see the battles that he and Boki would wage on each other

when you have tmac & yao on the bench, or injured, you need someone who care create own shots off the bench and contribute offensively, especially come playoff time.

just see how much head produced against Utah....

it really isnt necessary to call him a 'lil punk' i just read that thread and you proposed head, hayes/landry + a 1st.

    1. the salaries don't match
    2. the bulls have a alot of guards and bigs
    3. we have enough firepower on our squad
    4. ben gordon is undersized and 1 dimensional

I don't know how it works but isnt there some type of restriction that keeps Landry from being tradeable?

Ben Gordon = younger more athletic 3-years-ago Mike James

Cuttino Mobley got a 5 year 42 mil contract a few years back so I can see why Gordon would want big money.

someone told me before that you can't SIGN AND TRADE LANDRY before. Something to do with using the MLE, wasn't really paying attention.

Ben Gordon takes way, far too many shots. He would absolutely kill our team chemistry. I'm already worried how Artest will affect us on the offensive end, but his defense will more than more than make up for it. Absolutely no to Ben Gordon.

Is Landry considered a scoring PF? He seemed to me to pick up energy put backs mostly. The dunks were nice as well but what would he do if he had to go through doubleteams? better for us i think. cheaply. Our god like gm will get the best thing done.

The Rockets have a lot of firepower with 3 scorers, bringing in Ben Gordon could damage chemistry because he might not be happy with taking less shots being the fourth scoring option. The Rockets cannot afford to pay Gordon the type of money he is asking for.
I see posts about trading Landry and Head for Gordon. The Bulls have Drew Gooden and Tyrus Thomas competing at the PF spot, what they need is a proven Center more than they need a PF. The backcourt is already crowded so they would not need Head either.

I would consider ditching Landry and offering the MLE to Gordon outright if we were able to complete a Luther for Sean Williams type of swap.

Mind you, this scenario has about a .02% chance of actually happening. Just saying despite Gordon's flaws he's instant offense, has never shot worse than 41% from downtown and can hit 90% of his FT's. High basketball IQ, to boot.

I don't know how fans of a team so victimized with inconsistent shooters, anti-clutch 4th quarter players and guys that can't hit a FT to save their life wouldn't be interested in a potential closer like this.

Again, this won't happen. Just saying he's much better than some of you are giving him credit for.

Landry can't be traded if the Rockets use the MLE to sign him. However they can if Landry decides to take the qualifying offer provided he gives them permission which is required for players on one year deals.

I agree on the chances except I see it more as an opportunity for the Rockets to get a Wade, LeBron, etc a year earlier than 2010 via a S&T package of Artest & Gordon next free agency.

My thoughts exactly. I said this when his name came up the first time. I don't want a player who thinks he's a superstar but is not. Then he also needs to get his shots to get going which takes away from our real superstars. Then if he is playing with the second unit they won't have any team chemistry with him just jacking up shots, and team chemistry is why we won 22 in a row. I like Gordon but just not on this team.
