Is there a chance we can acquire Gordon? He could play the point and could also play the 2 spot while Tmac rests...
We can do this if Landry doesnt sign with us :D

just wondering, but your thoughts would count as well :)

Not possible. We can only offer him the full mle, he can get more than that from the Bulls. We dont really have anything to offer for sign and trade around 8mil.

He won't accept anything less than 8 mill. He's also an idiot.

Not possible. We won't even get him the same way we did Bonzi a few years back. Too many teams out there would offer more than we could anyway.

The Reality he is better than Barry, but Barry will be serviceable for this year with his length and outside shooting and ability to handle the rock. If we could still Gordon this team would be twelve deep. He just really isn't a need like a back-up center, power forward with more length, upgrade at the point.

    Landry (QO) + Head + Francis + Strawberry (non-guaranteed) = c. $6.19M
    Above package can be traded for a player/s between c. $4.85M to c. $7.84M

Supposedly, the qualifying offer doesn't count towards a team's MLE. So I assume Landry can be S&T if he decides on that. However, players on an one year deal must give their consent to be traded.

With the open roster spot I'd add Croshere with the vet's min just for his rep as a good locker room presence.

    Alston, Barry, Brooks
    McGrady, Gordon
    Artest, Battier, Harris
    Scola, Hayes, Dorsey, Leunen
    Yao, Croshere, Deke

And also who trade a 8mil player for four 2 mil contracts??? That doesnt do them any justice. Regardless of them all being last year contracts (I think?) a team is gonna want some kinda value in return and there is none with those 4 players.

He won't sign for the MLE and the Bulls have said they WONT S&T him without the other team taking on either nocioni or houghes.

the rockets don't have the money or the assets to get this done.

Bulls have been desperate for a scoring PF in the last several years. Landry fills a need for them. Head can be the budget replacement. At the same time they get at least something back for a player who just doesn't want to be there.

I'm intrigued with a combination of Nocioni and Gordon...but in return we must give up Battier + players 4 sure...Nocioni could be Rick's Peja lite and gordon could be Bibby type..i'm all with that package if the Rox is really interested with gordon
