Can we sign Kenny Anderson for the veteren minimum. Based on his year in Boston two years ago I think he would be a good back up point at a non impact price. We could experiament with Steve at the two without a massive committment we might regret.

I must regretably inform you that you are incorrect. Mo Taylor and Jeff McInnis both played on the 1999-2000 LA Clippers. It was McInnis's 1st season and Taylor's last with that team.

Sure just add Francis , Taylor and Norris to the deal for Wallace and Studamire
    gives us

    Yao/Cato
    Wallace/Griffin
    Paterson/Griffin/Boki
    MobleyAnderson/Pike
    McInnis/Stoudamire

Now that to me looks like a hard working Gundy team!!

Its just a matter of time before Francis is hurt- I see him flying through the air landing on his back really hard- I am suprised everytime he gets back up. You have to love the guy for that but....
We could always trade Mobes or Std and whoever later if there is a log jam. I am not a big fan of Pattersons but I lived pn Seattle when he was here and I tell you he give 100+ % and is good. This team could compete with the best of them. Didn`t mighty mouse continuously light us up? I would prefer Wells but they might do the deal to get rid of STD. i AM NOT GOING TO REAL GM WITH THIS BUT IT LOOKS PRETTY EQUAL - WE COULD ALWAYS ADD THIS SUBTRACT THAT TO MAKE IT WORK. i WILL BE EXCITED AND MAY EVEN GET MY NBA LEAGUE PASS BACK. aS OF NOW i COULD CARE LESS ABOUT NEXT SEASON. Oops sorry for the caps.

I feel sure that for this offseason Mobley is secure. JVG needs to coach him and see if he will respond. Rice is our only Trade Commodity, till JVG gives everyone a tryout.

no offense but have you been smoking something from stoudamire? ;) no-one in the league would take stoudamire from Portland without a kick ass player thrown into the trade. He's trouble & not worth his salary. He makes ALL of our contracts look good. He only lit us up (no pun intended :)) 'cause our guards didn't play any D on him.

You were correct to abbreviate his name to "STD", with a lot of emphasis on the "D" in that acronym! For Portland's front office he definetly is like a STD - an annoying rash that you can't get rid of no matter how hard you try :D

During an TNT broadcast, Van Gundy commented about SF's role, whether he's a SG or PG, does anybody remember what he said?

If Francis became a shooting guard, all this turnovers stats wouldn't matter. He'd be playing to his strengths: a scorer! Thus, his turnovers would go down.

This is not to say that we wouldn't need a system to allow a free-flowing ball distribution. Something that I feel that JVG will provide (offensive discipline).

Add the fact that we would need a PG that wouldn't necessarily be on the team to score, but more of a ball distributor/offensive setup and predicated off the "system." NOT ISOs.

This would mean that Francis and Yao would play a two-man game. They would be the only ones *allowed* to go ISO, if need be. This would be acceptable.

The problem arose when Rudy would allow Francis, Mobley, Mochie, Yao, Taylor, all to go ISO. That's too many players doing the ISO shuffle!

Please don't bring Ruben Patterson here. Last thing I want to see is the "Kobe Stopper" pulling a Kobe on some young girl in Houston. In fact, it woulda been called a Ruben if he was any good. But he's not!
