    Is this right?

    https://twitter.com/#!/Chris_Broussard/status/174990526255333376

‏@Chris_Broussard Twolves offered Beasley to Lakers for LA's best 1st round pick 2012. LA said No b/c it doesn't want to pay the added luxury tax, source says

If this is true, we have a better pick to offer to Minnesota right now than the Lakers can offer (they have Chicago and Dallas' picks).

The Minnesota Timberwolves offered to trade Michael Beasley to the Los Angeles Lakers for a first-round draft pick, but the Lakers turned them down, according to a league source.

    Beasely sucks.

We need to either 1.) add a superstar or 2.) shore up our defense.

Beasley is just an expiring contract to us.

I think the Beasley that played last night, would be a great addition to our team.

Agreed. That way beasley can show Marcus Morris the ropes.

    A year ago yep.

    Now...meh.

With Parsons, Chase, and Morris I don't know if Beas would deserve the minutes.
If anything we should just start playing Morris...

LAL has a trade exception; Rox would have to send someone to make $ work. TWill and Morris get no time, Bud? Not much. Beez? Too much of a so-so thing...

Now, if it's the framework for a Lowry-less Gasol deal...

If he plays PF. After a trade of course. He is a better Jordan Hill.

Well, he'd be closer to his rehab facility.

    Maybe a three team deal?

Minny gets our 1st round pick, Orlando gets Beasley and we get Dwight Howard.

I understand the money problem and the Lakers trade exception.

What I like about Beasley is that he plays above the rim. This organization seems to have forgotten about the psychological impact of powerful dunkers. It's become a pet peeve of mine. But, throwing a big one down with authority gets the crowd going, gets the blood pumping and helps with momentum and confidence.

Lee does it some. Parsons tries all the time. The rest of the team that sees the floor is very passive. Even when they're on a breakaway, Martin and others elect for a light dunk or layup instead of something that can get their own crowd going.

Sorry for the diatribe. It's been bothering me for a while and Beasley is definitely not that kind of player.

He should have learned from Durant.

Beasley's VERY young... younger than both Parsons and Budinger, and just 8 months older than Morris. He's far more talented than all 3, and has fringe All-Star potential as a 6'10'' one-man wrecking crew on the offensive end of the floor. He comes w/ baggage, but I'd be more than willing to gamble.

Yeah sure it sounds good. Morey does nothing anyways. Budinger gets no playing time. That first is as good as useless now. Might as well turn it into another good player and get rid of a few useless ones like Thabeet, Budinger, or Flynn in the trade.
