For those visiting here this weekend: If you like good beer, hit the recently opened Stone Brewery in Point Loma. The draft and bottle lists are ridiculous. More subdued and roomy compared to the typical Gas Lamp Bar/restaurant. Great food, tad expensive but worth it. Also has huge courtyard with outdoor bar ... good for bigger groups. Its a short cab or bus from the Old Town Trolley Station.
Here are some random pics and two videos from the game. First one is a key third down stop that gave the Texans the ball back. The second video is the game winning FG by Bullock. I don't know what happened to the second video, the quality is crap. Felt like there was so many Texans fans there. Everywhere you looked there was a Texans jersey. Was an amazing first game to say the least. <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/kghorbani/9713735941/" title="Texans vs Chargers Game by Stack24, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7400/9713735941_6b2b99e723_b.jpg" width="1024" height="228" alt="Texans vs Chargers Game"></a> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/kghorbani/9716971372/" title="Texans vs Chargers Game by Stack24, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5323/9716971372_d789273555_b.jpg" width="1024" height="768" alt="Texans vs Chargers Game"></a> <iframe width="640" height="480" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/jlKtUCTCqCU?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="640" height="360" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/N2djIteSJAQ?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I hope everybody behaved. Back when I had Texans season tickets, I was constantly amazed at how arrogant and rude opposing fans often were. Particularly amongst fan bases that had reputations as being the best in the NFL. The worst were Steelers and Browns fans with Packers fans taking the top spot. Just gangs of ignorant, drunken a$$holes. On the flip side, Chiefs fans were incredible. Really friendly and polite...and that was in the midst of handing the Texans an epic beatdown in the 2003 home opener.
