Honestly. It's mentally, physically and emotionally healthier to just forgive, don't forget and learn from the experience. You aren't the first to get jumped/robbed and you won't be the last. The truly only option you have with the greatest upside is just disposing all of this negative energy.. You harping on the situation is already going to attract like-events whether you're the cause of them or not. It's just a case of wrong place, wrong time. You replace yourself with any other kid playing alone on that court the same thing would have happened. Even though you know the person, don't take it personally. Life will catch up to them. When Mother Teresa was asked to take part in an Anti-War movement she declined every time adding "But invite me if you ever start a Pro-Peace movement." Solid advice, Dub. Basically, get a gun, bro. Either take the measures to not put yourself in that position, or at least be prepared if it does happen, again. I was walking down an alley one time, and got held up at gunpoint. I was a junior in highschool. What did I do when they pulled the gun?! Mannnnnn, I rannnnnnnnnn so fast. I figure, I'm unarmed, so it will be harder to shoot a moving target, than a stationary one! That was 6 years ago. Have I gotten held at gunpoint since? No. Do I walk down that alley? HELL NO.

This is the solution to a lot of problems with bullies. To just stand up for yourself. But, from what OP described this isn't just some school bully, he said they had "guns & knives" which takes the situation to a different level.
In all seriousness, what makes you think that somehow these guys won't find out if you attempt and/or successfully pull off a ass beating towards them. If, they are half as "tough" gangsters that you have made them out to be, won't you think they will escalate things far more stupider than you did? Some of these trash bags have nothing to lose.
