Hey guys I wanted your advice. I got this really cool arnie poster, and I wanted to get it put up in the office. The office is at her dads business but I will be working from there soon.. and he will be gone. I will presumably have pictures of my family etc, and I might put up a picture of the ocean or something like that.

So she started laying down that I couldn't put the poster up, and that it is in bad taste. Customers may see it, but it's not like I am advertising death or anything.. I just like the movie ..and the fact that if arnie likes you, he kills you last.

So am I wrong to put up a fuss and fight over this? we dont really fight but we got into it. It was more about her trying to set tone, but this arnie poster was the centerpiece of the fight. Should I assimilate and put said poster in the corner of my man cave? Btw she bought the poster for me for birthday when I told her about it. folks this is serious.

Thanks for the advice. I think I will assimilate and not 'die on that hill' so to speak on this one. She can have her way this time. Not everyone appreciates arnie I get it.

    Here is the poster:

That is the worst poster I've ever seen.

Seems harmless enough. Everybody should appreciate a poster that warns against the practice of hotlinking.

Imagine if that actually works. You can plan every decision that way. I wonder how long it would take them to figure out that you are faking passion about something you want just to "cave" and negotiate a BJ out of it.

To be fair, that poster has no place in any sort of professional office. So... it all depends on the type of clientele that will be seeing it. If it's a non-professional setting, don't sweat it. If it's professional, she has a point. I mean... you can still do what you want and she should let it be your decision and not make it a big issue between you and her... but she would still have a point.

This. I would definitely not put it up and would probably not do business with you if I did see it in a professional setting.

What kind of business is it? On the surface, it doesn't seem appropriate for the workplace.

thanks that was what I wanted to know. You are right a picture of the ocean and not much else. That might offend landlocked people but I'll take my chances.

Your wife is right, you can't put that in an office. But don't say that.

maybe compromise and put it on the inside of your door. That way, only you can see it when you close the door.

nah, just cave...unless it is a Mechanic's shop, machinist, lumber yard, etc.
