Just curious - let us assume for the moment this is factually correct, that there is discussion of a McG/JT - K-Mart/Nocioni/SAR swap.

If it is so, there is already a glut with TA and SB where AN would play, so what happens with his 21mm over three years? Does he get shipped on elsewhere? For SJax? Oops, same problem.

And BTW - who loses minutes to K-Mart? It is the impending question with McG return redux.

Now, all that said, I would be happy enough to see this eventuate. I'd rather Bierdins/Ellis - McG; but hey, whaddaIknow?

I had the same questions-- you are trading 2 inactive players for 2 players who would want minutes this season (AN right away, KM after returning from injury). Adelman would have some work to do allocating minutes and balancing egos.

So despite AN being still able to play, and being Scola's NT teammate, I am thinking perhaps the Rockets are now in search of a 3rd team to take AN off their hands.

It's AMAZING how stupid the people are on this board. That you would trade a potential player who can come back and give you 18 - 20 ppg/5 rb/5ast for K Martin, who was hurt last year, the year before that, and is hurt now. Another player that is average at best, in Nacioni, and a contract. And all I see is "Getter done Morey". Amazing!

If you are going to trade him, which I don't proclaim, but trade him for a rising star or a player that can play a whole season. I would love a Rudy Gay, Thaddeus Young or Maurice Spieghts. Chris Paul can be had at this point. If you are going to make a suggestion, at least make an intelligent suggestion. Someone who is on the rise or there already!

Please... Shinn isn't trading the only player that makes him money.

If Morey could have traded for Chris Paul, he would have done it by now. McGrady's value is so low, that Morey can't get a rising star.

    Pot calling kettle black?

You are seriously overvaluing McGrady's trade value if you think he can land you CP3. Hell, even Philly won't take on McGrady if it meant giving up EITHER ONE of those young players. Rudy Gay might be possible (Grizzlies have shown a penchant for wanting to take on troubled players: AI, Zebo) but not even remotely probable. These pipe dream scenarios are probably even more "stupid" a proposal than wanting to trade for KMart. And you don't want to trade for him based on McGrady "possibly" coming back and giving you 18-20/5/5? He can also possibly get you nothing; let's face it, his best asset right now is his bloated expiring contract. I mean, KMart will at least come back and you know he'll give you scoring. His other weaknesses have been bandied about here on this thread (by tmac mainly), but he will give you scoring. What will TMac give you for sure? Blown layups/dunks?

7 pages because someone's manager talked to an employee of the rockets???

We bring in character players to houston - Nocioni just got a DWI...
We like healthy players here in Houston - Martin is out the next 2 months with an injury...
We like players who can contribute... Shareef is retired...

    Clutch please close this..

Plus T-mac will be back within a month more than likely... shouldnt we see what he gives us before trying to move him?

Artest's character was more tarnished than Nocioni. A great guy that was unfairly branded as a lowlife that hits fans by the league. Morey values flexible contracts that are easy to trade more than large contracts.

McGrady's contract is so large, that only a few teams could take it without trading away their half their roster and involving a 3rd team to take the extra players, because the rosters can't go over 15 roster spots.

Both Nocioni and Kevin Martin's salary are much easier to package and trade. An expiring T-mac contract leaves the Rockets with nothing. Les wants to spend money.

This would be exactly the type of deal they could get for McGrady, which is a thread I have been thinking of making.....may still.

Sacremento is in financial straights and is going nowhere, they get to look at TMac, get his bird rights and his contract comes off the books this year, they get to start over.

    Houston gets value for TMac.

It is a win win for both teams.

Please please please let it be true.

So what church is this? We will make a Clutchfans group visit on Sunday. If the church fills up with few hundred new visitors and your district manager asks, just play dumb. ;)

I've been saying this trade could happen since LAST SEASON.

The Kings need to move Kmart's contract and Nocioni would be great for this team.

The Kmart health situation wouldn't be such and issue because he wouldn't have to kill himself every game here like has in Sac.

that's a misconception. when you are an injury-prone player, you just are, heavy load or not.

tracy and yao get injured regardless of what load they are carrying. hopefully if this trade goes down, martin can be the exception of what has happened to stars in houston the past few years and stay healthy.

You can pick the flaws of these players but this may be the best we can get for Tracy. I mean this is Tracy 09, not Tracy 07, so you know you are going to get a poison pill to go with a decent player. The other option is to let Tracy try and play and most likely walk at the end of the season which would be a complete loss of team value. At least this way you have more trading pieces to fill some holes.
