You've stressed this point a lot. But it is only 4-5 games into the season.

And I'm willing to bet the Kings record with Kevin Martin is better than the Kings record without, rendering your point moot.

This thread needs a video of Kmart. After watching this vid he is the perfect player for the Rockets. Also, TMac makes a cameo appearance.

Change his style of play dramatically? Please... Kmart is one of the more efficient scoreres in this league. He also gets a lot of looks on catch and shoot, driving to the hole, drawing fouls and getting to the free throw line. If anything Mcgrady is the bigger ball-stopper between the 2. Worse case scenario he'd be a better decoy than your boy Tmac at this point. How convenient your sample size without Kmart only includes a whopping 2 games.

Tyreke's performance with K-Mart out is great and all, but keep in mind that Tyreke is more comfortable at the SG position, so it's almost expected. Also, it's only been two games. Tyreke has had efficient games before this one, and he's had very poor games. His FG % right now is 40.2%, improved from 35%, but again, this is a small sum of games that we are talking about.

K-Mart is an efficient scorer, but he should only be sought after by teams that don't need him to be the main guy. He also cannot be relied on in the 4th quarter. If Martin can be third option on a championship team, and second on a good team.

i'm advocating this trade dude. i'm just pointing out his weaknesses.

he's a BONA-FIDE scorer like i said. but what if in games he struggles (he's shooting 42% this year) to score, what else can he do to help a team? his usage rating is a whopping 29.6 this year, yet he averages only 2.5 assists per game. I'M JUST SAYIN... we do need another playmaker too you know, even if we get kmart.

well, he's going to be out for a while so we'll see how his team does. and i suggest you watch those 2 games using your archive LP.

tyreke has had ONE good game before these last 2. but you're right, he's more comfortable playing the SG (and he's more versatile than kmart in terms of overall game so that's why i'm guessing the kings "might" do this trade). he's a star in the making.

like i said, kmart would provide us with something we desperately need: a shotmaker. but again, on this team, he's not going to get 22 shots a game. what else can he do? hopefully, he does have some other facets to his game that are hidden due to playing on a bad team.

but yes, if yao does return somewhat healthy, kmart would be great on this team.

Almost every player has weaknesses and every player struggles to score now and then. But that's not the point. The point is Tmac's weaknesses far outweigh Martin's at this point of their respective careers. We do need another playmaker even if we get Martin and I'll be the first to admit Martin is NOT a #1 option but in order to delegate him to option number 2 or 3 we need to acquire him first. We're not going to magically land option number 1 and 2 on the same day.

that was simply what i was trying to convey.

also, kmart is the "go-to" guy the past few years. in this system, AB is the go-to man b/c of his ability to handle/penetrate/get guys shots. AB is going to run the show (until yao returns of course).

like i said, would a healthy kmart be fine with getting 31-32 minutes, and 14-15 shots? his impact on games are based on his SCORING. that's 100% of his impact right there. if he ain't scoring, he ain't helping.

maybe i'm looking too much into kmart's weaknesses.

anyways, hopefully there is some truth to this rumor. i think this is the best we can do in regards to trading tmac.

Did your manager say if the "employee" told him how close it is to a done deal or did he just say they are in preliminary talks?

I would do this in a second, we get a coachable player, pure shooter, who can put up 25 ppg for injury incusrance when yao is out, and then surround yao with a nother deadly scorer to give him more room too work, plus this guy is getting paid 10 mil and 12 mil tops in his career, nocioni might be a bad contract, but hes a tough minded defender who can still contribute, i do this trade in a second martin is younger and more capable, kings only incentive to do this is relaly money and maybe give tyreke more room to develop, but then they would stil lwant a starting pg probably demanding brooks or lowry

i know no one would go for this but for another pick of theres or a good player i woudl get rid of brooks, as good as he is, he is best as a 6th man jason terry type of scorer off the bench, his defensive liability and lack of passing skills don't make him our best option as a starter although he is more than capable of getting stats

He is younger, great shooter. Gets to the line a lot and can be coached better to learn better D. He is a good fit for us. there is also the fact that he is injury prone.

What else can you get from McGrady's contract? This is a really sweet deal. do it.

    Beggars cant be choosers lol.

Have you been following the Rockets this season?

Sure AB is not a great passer but he is certainly a capable one.
