[Gossip] T-Mac in trade talks; Involves Kevin Martin and Nocioni

Are you serious? Tracy McGrady in his prime couldn't take that team past the 1st round of the playoffs. He's had better teams than that and still didn't get them past the first round.

Please don't try to make someone out to be a bad player that can't do squat for a team when we have a supposed "super star" that has yet to do much for ours.

How old is Martin?

 

Kevin Martin is the type of guy that gets his numbers but it never translate to wins for his team. The Kings have beaten the Jazz in Utah and the Warriors without him. I don't really like Kmart because he's too scrawny and injury prone recently but he is still probably an upgrade over a unhealthy Tmac.

Not a huge fan of this deal... Martin is a great scorer, but thats it, and Nocioni is not what he use to be. Now if they threw like Spencer Hawes or Jason Thompson our way, then maybe.

If we do trade tmac it better be for a big man, cause we have a great set of guards already.

 

He had the same team as Artest and failed to get past the 1st round, unless you are counting Dorsey and Lowry's contributions.

 

I'd rather we don't commit to a long term contract especially considering Kevin Martin is injury-prone. We've been down this road before, lets not make that same mistake.

 

I'm not really sure what people's problems are with KMart.

He is injury prone is the only problem I have with him.

A bunch of people wanted to trade Tmac for Redd and IMO Kmart is a better true shooter than Redd w/ no talent around him to speak of.

This Rockets team is in need of someone who can take the final shot, who can be depended on as the go to guy, and Kevin Martin fits that bill completely. Tmac is not exactly a "defensive" guy, especially last few years, he just doesn't look like he has a desire to play hard on defensive side.

Don't get me wrong, I like everyone else would LOVE to get a Wade, Lebron, Bosh next summer, but a 100% sure Kmart is WAY BETTER than having a 5% chance of getting one of those guys (considering every team is gonna go after those 3, and they have a choice, what are the chances they actually come to houston?).

 

I wouldnt mind this deal. We wont have max money after this season anyways.

 

Because it is assinine to say anyone lost credibility because they have a different viewpoint.

He didn't lose any more credibility than anyone else, it is an internet message board, those you agree with, have credibility in your eyes, those you don't...do not.

It is fairly weak to say that, as anyone with a brain knows it is just not true.
