Well, he has the POTENTIAL to be a starting center in the NBA. Many believe he haven't had the opportunity to prove himself as he played behind Dwight Howard. As a matter of fact, he averaged like 15-10 when he started for the Magic. Plus he's only 24, long and athletic.

 

Ever heard of the word "efficiency"? He got very little minutes because he played behind Howard, but he was very efficient when he was on the court.

 

As a Starter: 10 pts, 11.7 rebs, 3 blocks

He got to show a lot in those few games Dwight was out.

 

He would be our starting center that would average 10points & 15 rebounds per game. -_-
Too bad we can't get him now since we used all of our MLE.

Because he's 7 ft tall and can walk and chew gum at the same time.

If Scola had gone to a team with a star PF for the first two years of his NBA career, people would be asking what was so special about some former EURO League guy who puts up 5 points and 4 rebounds as a backup.

The most talented players in the world still require minutes.

And yes, as I pointed out in another thread, they had very similar EURO League production...although Gortat was 4 years younger.

 

If he is a beat, what Howard is?
come on, 4 points and 4rebs, not beast at all.
