I agree with the bold completely as that part is quite obvious but I'm just thinking ahead and I'm suew that's exactly what Presti and Brooks are doing. They are more worried about the Clippers since it's obvious Lakers and Memphis are out of the picture. Jordan and Griffin running the floor for easy buckets and lobs while Perk is left in the dust?? Jordan and Griffin making one quick move and going right by Perk?? Sounds about right to me. I'm 100% positive the West is going to come down to OKC and Clippers. One of them will take out the Spurs and the other the Nuggets (most likely) and I'm sure they (Clips and OKC) are not worried about the Spurs as they are of each other. All their proposed moves/trade rumors suggest they're trying to exploit each others weakness. It's all about the matchups.... OKC trying to get the more mobile, quicker, and athletic Gortat to slow down Jordan and Griffin while making them have to work on the defensive end since Gortat actually has some offensive game compared to Perk. Clippers trying to flip Bledsoe for Millsap in order to further strengthen the front court and exploit OKC's weakness. As I mentioned if no moves are made going forward I favor the Clippers in 6. If OKC is able to add that mobile, big man then I'd take them in 7.
you guys talkin about Perkins being tough probably watched him last time when he played for Boston. All thats left of his toughness is his constant whining to the refs.
It's actually a good trade. The biggest value being in Lamb and Gortat. - Lamb really deserves more minutes on an NBA roster, he doesn't belong in D-League. - It gives Phoenix alot of assets for next year. - Gortat instantly makes OKC, the front runner for the NBA title. On no planet in universe is Perkins comparable to Gortat who is a well-rounded big man as you can get offensive and is not a bad defender.
