Nice to see the dittoheads dodge the issues as usual. Are any of you conservative types going to actual refute anything he said or is this another case of smear the messenger when you don't like the message?
Regardless of the merits of Gores speech (I think he is an idiot). For those of you hoping to get Bush out of office, do you really want Gore's face out there campaigning for Kerry? I think Kerry should tell Gore to shut the hell up and go hide in his hole until the election is over. Gore's image is not something that Kerry wants to associate with his campaign. As a Bush supporter, I hope Gore is out there blasting Bush and supporting Kerry out in public. I think it just guarantees a Bush victory.
I don't see why not. I diodn't vote for Gore ( damn and blast) and don't like Kerry all that much, but the fact remains, more people voted for Gore than Bush. Why would that be a neative. I am not contesting the E.C. decision, I am talking, as you are, about general popularity. And in that respect, he trumped Bush. Why would that be something to avoid? BTW, if Gore had been anywhere near this human 4 years ago, I'd have probably voted for him.
If it was for Gore we wouldn't of had the internet and we couldn't be here right now saying what an ass he is.
Gore looked as though he had been retaining a little water...DURING THE SPEECH. Idiot. He would have had no idea what to do with himself when 9/11 went down. I'm glad we had a guy like Bush in office with enough balls to do something about the evil in this world when all of this started happening. Gore would have probably wanted to "talk things over" with the terrorists AND Saddam like the pacifist he is. Whatever mistakes this administration may or may not have made with regard to the situation in the Middle East, the world is a better place without Saddam Hussein at the helm in Iraq. And it's a better place without "morons", "nuts", and "asses" like Al Gore and John Kerry in the White House. Yeah, gifford1967, I went there...
http://www.snopes.com/quotes/internet.htm If it weren't for the lies of GWB, maybe we would have someone with integrity, like John McCain, in office now.
This is like the Mona Lisa post of this forum. I can not stop reading it. I sincerely can not tell if it is serious or sarcastic, and the I can not tell if the unecessary quotes around "morons" "nuts" and "asses" are a "satirical" use of unecessary "quotes" or an "actual" use of unecessary "quotes." And the part about Gore probably wanting to talk things over with everyone because he is a pacifist is really good, too. Don't tell me if it is satirical or not, it will ruin it. I have been owned by this post.
You mean to sit there and continue reading a childrens book, and then take a few more days to decide whether we should retaliate against Afghanistan or Iraq or Puerto Rico? Yeah, I'm pretty sure Gore wouldn't have done that.
To be fair, he only had 3 pages left... he wanted to know what happened to the Saggy, Baggy Elephant.
I'm glad someone brought up Gore inventing the internet. Most people know by now that Gore never once said he invented the internet. What gore did help do was bring the internet technology from only a govermental/military use to the general public. In that sense it could be argued that he was in part responsible for the large economic boom of the 90's based in large part on the internet, and opened access. It's humerous to me that after all the stuff came out saying that Gore invented the internet, by the 'liberal' media, the apologies when it turned out he never made that claim were much less covered. Obviously today some people still think that Gore did claim to invent the internet.
