and Scola misses a shot that would've given them the lead. Lowry misses a free throw. Suns ball down 2, 14 secs left
Watched both Dragic and Lowry today and wasn't really impressed by either. I had read a statistic last season I think that said Lowry is supposed to be a good pick and roll player. He doesn't seem to be looking at these games. Struggles to find the open man and had just 2 assists today I think.
i still think lowry is playing hurt. what happened to the lowry at the beginning of the season suns ain't going any where with their old players and what not. haven't watch the suns much. is dragic their number one option?
Didn't the same exact thing happen with us last season? He played great and inspired at the start and people proclaiming him an all-star but then he fell off quick and people were blaming it on injuries.
He's had a couple of good games since he came back from injury, so I don't know if he's still hurt or if the Raptors being one of the worst teams in the league right now is affecting him. Hopefully things'll be better for him now that they ended their losing streak (and against Dragic too).
Calderon leading the second unit that kept the Raptors in the game. Not by a long stretch, but I think he outplayed both Lowry and Dragic tonight.
I remember those days too and from what I recall everyone wanted Lowry to start because he actually could get Yao the ball. And I also remember a lot of people saying McGrady could get him the ball as well.
Another great performance by Dragic 9pts 4 Rb 5 Assists 2 TO. They also took him out in the 4th. We should have given him the max.
A lot of Rockets fans thought Lowry was going to be a star. He never really was, but he's the ideal roleplayer. He brings above average defense, ability to drive and draw fouls, hit open threes, and exceptional rebounding for a point guard. What he doesn't bring is the ability to create his own shot without the refs bailing him out. Might be the best #3 scoring option in the NBA, but that's all he is. Dragic, on the other hand... he could become an all star talent. I still think that even though he's had some bad games lately.
The coaching in Phoenix is probably worse than ours. I don't understand the rotations. Dragic is a really good player, and this one game doesn't really say anything. He's been pretty consistent this season.
I just don't think Dragic is as good a decision maker as Lowry or Lin. He's more or a rhythm scorer. Perhaps he should be in the Jason Terry role.
Lowry is like a 2nd coach on the floor. I could see Lowry rejoining Adelman in Minn if Rubio doesn't get his crap together.
