They'll pay him. Seems pretty clear that Riley isn't at all concerned with the future - I'm betting he'll be gone once Wade retires.
I hope he ends up in Indiana, they've been trying to get him for years. I want George hill on this team. I wasn't a fan before but I feel he'll got like a glove. Not the prototypical "playmaker" but he's not going to have those zero assist games like bev.
So all those people that were whining about not trading Dmo when he got hurt will you guys take it back? Dragic has little loyalty to any team and we will go to whoever pays him the most. I have little faith that Morey wanted him at the max and some team is going to have to overpay him.
I dislike Dragic's personality as much as the next guy, but c'mon, we are in desperate need of a PG, he would be a great fit here. Especially if we can sign him outright without giving someone up in a trade.
Yeah, probably so. But if it takes the full 5 year max that's insane. He'll be the most overpaid player in the league. If they were smart they'd let him walk if that's his price.
"Would I ever leave this company? Look, I’m all about loyalty. In fact, I feel like part of what I’m being paid for here is my loyalty. But if there were somewhere else that valued loyalty more highly, I’m going wherever they value loyalty the most." Goran Dragic
Dragon is the most loyal player... to the mighty dollar. Do I still want him to join the Rockets Company Ltd.? Yes I would.
Guys, you are incredible. Remember when people were going with "Harden doesn't play defense" narrative this year when talking about MVP candidates? And of course it wasn't true? You are doing same with Dragic now - you are sticking to a narrative that just isn't true because "that's how it looks like". Throw in an article or two from butthurt Suns' fans and suddenly you have a cool narrative to follow instead of thinking with your own head. So he wanted out of PHX because he didn't feel comfortable in his role. Shocker! Remember a guy who wasn't satisfied with how many minutes his team gave him in the finals? Who fled the team that drafted him for a couple of millions? Who said he was content with his 6th man role, but actually wanted to run his own team? So he's not loyal, he's cheap and he's a liar. Is he any better than Dragic? Do you see how easy is to fit narrative to your own perception? Don't be hypocritical.
C'MON, we are in desperate need of any real PG.... lol Terry and Prigioni are not the best option at PG and old.... Bev is injured Sign someone from the Dleague or Euroleague for all that I care!
Did you reply to the wrong person? The guy you replied to basically said what you said. Anyways I agree. We need a real PG and if Dragic wants to come back, then I'll gladly take him. I like Terry and Prig, but they are too old.
actually I meant an average or above average PG at a decent price... not near max money which BTW Dragic would demand.
Harden when he came to the Rockets was like 22...So he was a young player with potential. Dragic is a 28 year old player, you aren't paying for potential any more but what you see is pretty much what you get. He may play better in certain situations and worse in some depending on the role though true...but I would not compare his situation to Harden's since Harden was still young player then that could only get better.
You're comparing two situations from the only angle where it's hard to compare (age). Everything else holds true for both Harden and Dragic. So if you think Dragic is bad guy for being "disloyal" or cheap or wants to have a better playing situation, remember the same thing holds true for Harden.
Apples to oranges OKC wasn't exactly happy about hardens play in the finals not the other way around. harden was traded then signed an extension right away Harden is actually worth more the max. Dragic is not.
No, because that extra year a team can offer him will make all the difference in the world. He will end up back in Miami if they offer him the most money.
