That Trump taking credit for the bonuses is BS since it's just a matter of the companies passing on the savings from the layoffs.

Costco also typically operates in areas of higher median income than Sam's. Costco caters to a higher-end customer who spends more money than the typical Sam's Customer, and Costco also carries a smaller choice in selection of each item.

For Sam's to adopt Costco's policies, they'd have to move their stores to higher income areas, give you less choices on each item, and carry higher end items. Essentially pricing out the poor and smaller business owners.

I don't see how layoffs are relevant to bonuses or tax policy. They made structural changes in their business that made 11,000 workers extraneous. That's it.

What does the one have to do with the other (except of course in the whole 'everything is Trump's fault' vein)?

Yep, definitely can't have Trump taking credit for putting money in people's pockets.

Lol, you are such a robot if you think he is putting money in people's pockets other than his own.

I thought we were calling any news that grossly misrepresents or factual lies as fake news. Apparently if liberals do it, its now called satire.

I suggest you google satire and fake news and come back when you understand the difference.

I work in an international company with about 10 billion dollars in US revenues, 20k us employees, as a controller.

My cost control extends over all corporate G&A departments, i.e. HR, legal, safety, accounting, treasury, ap, ar, IT and security.

We are a stable and profitable company, but it doesn't matter. Got wind Q3 of last year that I had to cut 13 million dollars in GA costs fr 2018to meet shareholder expectations. I had hoped the passage of tax reform would save me from this exercise, but nope, it didn't matter.

There are no new bonuses, no new hiring, no new investment. Companies don't hire workers cause they have extra cash. If their company can function with its current workforce, there is no reason to hire more people. They don't invest more either. Capital is already widely available.

You work for a crappy company so therefore all companies must be crappy and do not deserve tax cuts.

Its been well established that these tax breaks will help some companies to grow and expand their businesses. Other corps, especially the big ones, will likely keep it for themselves.

Again, this comes down to hate and punishment for the wealthy at the expense of the little guy.

It actually just comes down to lies. The lies that taxes are too high with record corporate profits and a record stock market and that trickle down will finally work.

You are perilously close to getting ignored. You need up your game because you are an especially awful poster right now. I know you like to pretend you're not some shill for Trump but you're really bad at it and really why bother at this point? Jesus.
