Most conservatives have been furious with the Bush administration, and the far right loath George Bush who they see as too liberal. It is all "relative" my friend. And Palin an extremest? She is probably more like the average American than any politician in years. I am not a Republican, but her "inexperience" has some degree of appeal to me. I have been watching expert-professionals make stupid decisions for years. We have a do-nothing Congress, an incompetent President, and a overweight bureaucracy. We need some fresh faces, maybe some regular people with common sense. At least I know better than to throw billions of dollars at institutions that deserve to fail under the weight of their own incompetence, fraud, and malpractice.

we've had 8 years of a president who supposedly had the common man touch and not a real grasp on policy. I'd rather change for someone who actually has a grasp on policy and is intelligent.

If John McCain is elected president, Sarah Palin promises to push groundbreaking laws that limit the age of child labor, repeal the unconsitutional prohibition of alcohol, and ban Jim Crowe laws in the south!

    Maverick!

The "let's elect Regular people we would like to have a beer with" mentality got us 8 years of the Worst President Ever.

    No thanks.

Instead why don't we try TWO Law School Graduates, and part time Law Professors, two people that PASSED the Bar rather than got drunk in one constantly.

Bush is a regular guy. I honestly think he's too dumb to know the bull**** that was being fed to him these 8 years. I fear the same for Palin.

I am just happy that some of the Republicans are being honest about her, most of them are smart enough to know that Palin was a pandering to the LCD pick.

They are just too cynical to admit it.....so much for Country first....more like...party first.

This sounds vaguely familiar to the Bush pitch we received in 2000.

I didn't like the way that story ended :(

I recommend you be demoted to rookie status.

    Reasons:
    1) Propagating lies - this allegation that Palin was a part of the AIP has been debunked countless times.
    2) The Union? What is this the Civil War era?
    3) Do yourself a favor and grab a dictionary. "SUCCEED" is not the same as SECEDE. Good grief.

Libs, police your own. This guy and people like him are ruining the integrity of this BBS. What if a visitor came and read this mess? It would make our legendary, high quality BBS look like the ESPN chat rooms in terms of quality. Again I advocate the creation of a D&D Nursery where all rookies can play amongst themselves and not disturb the intellectuals.

Exactly. With her as his pick, he threw that whole 'Country First' mantra out the window.

He said her husband. Her husband was indeed a member of the AIP from 95-02. http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2008/09/the-alaska-divi.html

Why is this a good reason for banning?

Spelling and grammar mistakes don't get you banned. Half the board would be gone then.

Boy, Clutch talks about the liberal folks in this forum whining, well you do a heck of a job too. I hope he acknowledges it as well.
