Actually, I'm thinking that can be said for the entire state of Louisiana. Could that be why "counties" in Louisiana are called "parishes"?
I feel great pleasure knowing that dumb southern Republicans are financing my tax cuts in the name of conservatism. These buffoons who support the rich are just adding to my coffers and debilitating their children's future. They will always live in their trailers and never realize that eliminating the estate tax is completely against their interest. But hey, when I retire in a few years thanks to their thousands of dollars in tax savings, I'll thank them. And when I inherit my parents estate, I'll thank them again as will my children when they inherit mine. Who'll pay for these deficits? Who do you think? Not me.
Well said. Kudos to the Republicans for being able to convince "the common man" (i.e., poor religious folk) that the elephant stands for them. It's an astonishing political manuever.
Anyone who makes less than $100,000 a year and votes Republican ought to just simplify things by going to Carter Country, buying a gun, and shooting themselves in the foot, since, in an economic sense, that is precisely what they are doing anyway.
That is my thought when I ask my Republican friends who are in my same financial situation. I ask them, "Does the Republican party really support your interests?" Most respond back that if the Democrats had it their way they'd take all our guns and turn us all into homosexuals. I give up at that point, it's hard to fight such ignorance.
Let our poor suffer, let us impose our will overseas, let our young soldiers die for our morality, and let us praise tax cuts for the most wealthy. That's God's message, that's the Republican party. And if it wasn't for them, I wouldnt have been able to pay for my 2 week vacation on Cape Cod. *whew*
