Georgia Republicans have been mad at Delta long before this. In 2018, Delta got rid of a minor discount on flights to the NRA convention (which something like 10 people used) in response to a mass shooting and Georgia Republicans stripped out the sales tax exemption in response. The government ended up reversing itself a year later but toying with Delta is nothing new for Georgia Republicans. At the end of the day, Delta has to think long term. Georgia is shifting so quickly that even with redistricting, Republicans won't manage to hold on to control for more than a few cycles.
Yeah, I had read about that. Georgia, Texas, and Arizona seem to be in a race to see who can win the title of, "Most irrational state GOP legislative majority." Seems to be neck and neck between Georgia and Texas, Arizona nipping at their heels.
I think 10 is overstating it and I think nobody had used it in like 3 years. It was the biggest initial reason I defected 100% from Republicans. It was so anti-conservative. MLB is moving the allstar game and draft away from Atlanta now. I'm not happy. Given the guy in front of me during the run-off election for Senate collapsed and had to be taken to the hospital, the whole water thing is beyond stupid.
The AFL pulled their All-Star Game in New Orleans in 1965 and the NFL pulled the 1993 Super Bowl from Arizona. So... organized sports speaking out against injustices are not new. And why shouldn't an organization, a private enterprise, be able to choose to not do business where they think a major wrong is happening.
Hmm, lets see. If you boycott MLB, and of course the NFL for kneeling, and the NBA and WNBA for black lives matter, and Hollywood movies and TV, what's left?

governor kemp blaming criticism of GA's voter suppression bill on President Biden and Stacey Adams...
I get the message of this but as a Minneapolitan I'm not comfortable with this cartoon. FYI not calling for it to be "censored" just expressing my own discomfort.
If this prosecution actually moves forward with those two felony charges, it would be a clear abuse of gov power. Georgia lawmaker arrested for knocking on Gov. Kemp's door calls possible 8-year prison term 'unfounded' (yahoo.com) Cannon is now facing two felony charges from last week’s arrest — obstruction and preventing or disrupting a General Assembly session, according to the Fulton County Department of Public Safety website. She told reporters Thursday that she is facing eight years in prison for those charges, which she called “unfounded.” Georgia Attorney General Christopher Carr did not respond to a request from Yahoo News for comment for this story.
