I was wondering how many times in the future Ivanka will have to start a speech with "I am not my father....."

Maybe it's just me, but it seems like there is quite a large contingent of Italian-American Trump supporters, or at least those with Italian sounding names: Scott Baio, Antonio Sabato Jr., Rudy Giuliani, Carl Paladino, Al Baldasaro, Pam Bondi... Maybe it's no more than for any other candidate, though.

Related: I heard some CBS execs are less than pleased with Colbert's work on the show.

His ratings are not quite up to what they want. It's not that easy transitioning from Comedy Central (where he is playing a whole different character) to network, I guess.

So, this is kind of funny. Nothing unexpected, just natural reaction of a young kid listening to a too-long speech late at night:

Anyway, I hope they don't punish Mycella and Tommen.

Trump convention is apparently a bust for Cleveland businesses, fro restaurants to strip clubs. The RNC is usually good boom week for strip clubs in the past. Wonder what happened this time. Fewer "establishment" types attending this one? Delegates too bummed out by the "end of America" rhetoric to enjoy lap dances?

Anyhow, not the first, and not the last time that a Trump venture fails to deliver.

Yes, I heard it on the radio. lulz.

I don't watch late night shows so I wouldn't know these things.

When Colbert first transitioned to The Late Show he went out of his way to avoid a political bias; he had quite a few GOP'er on as guests and let them say their piece.

I liked the show, but I like it more now. But like a retired Jonny Stew, I have no illusions about effects of satire. It make me feel better but it changes nothing in the minds of the committed.

But like in two sentences, lazy editing//

He always seemed like an strange choice who they just picked because he was a well known person already. I feel like James Corden is more culturally relevant than than Colbert. It might be a case where Corden gets fast tracked to the Late Show and Colbert gets fired like NBC did to Conan.

I'm a fan. I just don't own cable tv anymore. Got a Netflix and HBO account. I watch clips of his show on Youtube sometimes though and they're usually pretty funny.

authoritarian-worship. cult-of-personality. the leader is the state/the state is the leader (only trump can fix our problems).

all those goose-steppers are down-right scary.

Not really, he was always a well rounded performer before the character... he sings dances acts writes... and remember he took David Letterman's spot. He's a terrific interviewer and develops real rapport with a a bevy of interesting people, a lot f I never heard of before seeing them but I usually end up liking them a lot.

    ...back to the insanity....

i saw that. also, when his family came up onstage he kissed her on each cheek, but he only kissed his other daughters once. he is clearly sexually attracted to his daughter. he has said over and over again how he wishes he could date her. she is hot, but its his daughter.

if republicans are not messing around with men they are trying to get with their daughters. what is wrong with these people?

I have to believe Trump touching his daughter's hips is some kind of inside joke between them. It did seem pretty awkward, though, for anyone watching.

My guess is considering Ivanka JUST HAD A BABY he was making some kind of joke or comment about how she already lost her baby fat

which I must say.. It is impressive to look like that right after having a kid

that will surely trigger the liberal feminists more-so

Sad when the primary positive takeaway from this convention is that his kids seem to be okay. If you ignore the Patrick Bateman vibe of his sons.
