Can anyone play Panama by Van Halen? The nursery rhymes you guys are playing are getting a little old.
If your outside the U.S. you can't listen or record. Thanks freakin Google for us who aren't in the homeland!
LOL! I just made this here one... in a Holiday mood: http://goo.gl/doodle/W2Ep And this one is a CONTEMPORARY ONE... made popular in the 80's... http://goo.gl/doodle/JQti ^ Can anyone guess it?
I was trying to play "Ode to Joy" but it won't let me play the whole phrase. http://goo.gl/doodle/DzCR
Yeah, js goes without saying, but why would you use HTML 5 and Flash together? I'm pretty sure it isn't using Flash -- would love to know for sure, though. Actually, looking at the image, I could see how this doesn't even require HTML 5 -- just javascript alone. We could test that by someone viewing google with IE 6. Also, if we turn off our Flash plugins, we could test Flash.
... what?? Finish your sentence, man. HMMM... nice save. IE 8 doesn't show the colors on the strings when strummed. EDIT: FLASH is for the sound. HTML 5 and JavaScript is only for what appears to be moving strings OnMouseOver.
...and I'm pretty sure you're wrong: "Google says the Doodle was achieved using a combination of HTML5, JavaScript and the Flash plugin, the latter providing the sound of the strings." http://www.pcworld.com/article/2298...le_lets_you_strum_guitar_record_playback.html
It's really hard to play anything good without the use of half-steps, but this is pretty freaking sweet. Happy Birthday Les Paul!
OK, right. Flash for sound. Can anyone test on IE 6? Here's the bg image <img src="http://www.google.com/logos/2011/guitar11-hp-sprite.png"> Based on this image, it looks doable in js alone, but surely easier in HTML 5. It would be fun to try to write the code for the image.
