To echo what others have been implying, it seems Google has implemented some sort of location aware algorithm for its auto-complete. I've noticed it for a couple of weeks when I search for Houston specific queries - things like street addresses - that in the past would return a whole lot of results from other cities. Not to turn this into the D&D, but I think this has been an issue for Google since there was a little brouhaha about this observation. Location aware auto complete lets you tailor your results in a way that is much more sensitive the end user's needs and concerns.
Completely true. I'm in Provo, UT and I get location-specific results for my auto complete. I tend to get more neutral sports info, as a result. FYI for this thread, these were my results, in order: Carmelo Anthony to... Knicks Lakers The Bulls Hornets Bulls Chicago Be Traded Miami The Hornets Cleveland
That is what I go too. I am not in Houston. Yes google does search for stuff relevant to your location which is why everyone in houston is getting those results.
wow all he did was search carmelo anthony to ro and then all those suggestions came up and then he deleted whatever he typed in the search box
