Idk, I just typed "Hillary Clinton ind" in google, and the first suggestion was "...indictment for emails" followed by "indiana" and "india." Maybe it's because I was logged in so it's doing math on my previous searches?

Regardless of my little test, I flat don't believe the allegation that Google is changing search results to impact the election. Maybe that's my confirmation bias. I see it as: I just don't have time or patience for stupid, bs, tinfoil-hat crap like that.

I don't despise one percenters. I would like our government to change (1) their management of the economy in a way that will distribute wealth more broadly, and (2) their election policy to dampen the influence of money. There's nothing despicable about being a one percenter, nor even of using your resources as a one percenter to influence government so long as you do so in an ethical manner.

I guess it could be that so many people now have done searches because of this story that they've pushed "indictment for emails" to the top.

google search results are personally tailored to you, if you didn't opt-out (or was it opt-in) of allowing Google to use your search history. can't remember now.

Brilliant people never come across as ignorant. They may come across as insane, weird, bizarre, asocial and many other things - but never ignorant. So I think you once again have shown that you are a man (or woman) of unremarkable intelligence trying to pass yourself off as much more.

It's trivial to make a video look "great and fair" -- what's the source? Where's the print? Where's the reporting? Video is lazy.

I can show you a pretty good video from the flat earth society. Looks both great and fair. But's it's also completely loony and false.

Sigh, for this country of ours. Good lord.

Not at all - it's all conjecture and 0 evidence. It's a piece of crap and the reason people believe in conspiracy theories like that 9/11 was an inside job. You sound like a 9/11 conspiracy theorist.

Please, stop spreading this kind of ignorance.

    Amen.

The video is based entirely on the assumption that predictive search terms are based solely on what others are searching for, that is not the case. Their algorithms are complex and based on a variety of factors to provide relevant search terms (Google does say however what people are searching for is among the most important).

Furthermore, it provides no evidence whatsoever about Google manipulating search results. It provides no evidence that Google is burying or not indexing negative articles/blogs/results about her. Which is not true at all.

If you want to argue something, at least show some real evidence.

Well, it is just a video. The fact is, when you type in those phrases, you get those results at that time. The unknown reason(s) for it is where ignorance come in.

Search engine optimization is a multi-billion dollar industry. Might want to start there.

    HO HO HO

There was absolutely nothing ignorant about my post. The last refuge of the truly ignorant is to accuse a dominant adversary of being ignorant. It's a weapon that has increased in popularity over the last 8 years as the country has become hyper-sensitive to race. Obviously there was literally nothing in my post that spoke to race, so any accusation of ignorance based on some sort of racial bias is simply wrong. But liberals love to wield the race weapon, because it signals virtue for them, while simultaneously demeaning their target. And because no one wants to touch the third rail of discussion -- race -- the mere accusation instantly becomes a guilty verdict in the court of public opinion. The entire practice is tiresome, deeply dishonest, and intellectually lazy. If you cannot engage in debate because you are overmatched, then fine. But do not pretend to engage in debate by falsely labeling a far superior opponent as ignorant.

    GOOD DAY
