I haven't seen this thread on this site yet so here it is https://fiber.google.com/about/ What do you guys think about it?
Looks awesome. I'd totally be buying this today, if it were in my city. Living in a city of about 105,000, with the nearest major city 90 miles away, chances are, I won't see this for quite some time, if ever.
Well why don't you go to the site and pre-register? It's worth a shot right? https://fiber.google.com/how/
Wish they would do that in Houston. Mayor White should work out a deal with Google where the city could get a cut of the subscriber fees in return for helping with the infrastructure.
"Great. Now you can watch the Chefs fumble all the time a lot faster and clearer?" - A co-worker
Haha yeah, brain fart. For some reason it takes me a long time to adjust to new mayors. I think Lee Brown was mayor for 20 years in my mind.
The current broadband is like the phone modem compare to these new speeds. Eventually everyone will get there, like in 10-20 years.
