yeah i have google chrome w/ windows vista and it works pretty good. better than firefox. but i hate how sometimes things on websites aren't compatible w/ chrome
The performance problem is still there. I really do think it is an issue with Windows 7, 64-bit. http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Chrome/thread?tid=5ba44306ec6e5db3&hl=en This pretty much describes my problem:
I was hesitant at first to start using Chrome, but now that I have, I will never go back to another browser. Its been running just fine for me.
I have no problems with it on my desktop. It's 64 and it runs like a champ. You running intel or AMD? I know that's probably not the issue... Now my netbook... That's a different story. It's laggy, blue screens once and while with flash (which I am more leaning toward the issuing being Adobe and not Microsoft).
Intel. My problem is like what's described in that link. There seem to be a lot of people experiencing the same problem.
Are you running the stable version or the beta? If you're running the stable try switching to the beta channel and see if it helps, vice versa if you're currently running the beta.
I was running stable. I switched to beta a week or so back. It seemed to work better for a few days, but now it slows down again. It seems to get progressively worse the longer it is open.
Switch back to stable? It's now on Chrome 4. You could also give the developer channel a shot if nothing works.
I'll volunteer that I've experienced this problem rather frequently on Linux as well. Although since the last time I updated it appears to be noticeably better, but I'm still skeptical ... it'll take a little more time proving to convince me that they've fixed it.
Actually, I had switched from stable to developer (not beta). I'll try going back to stable and see if its any better.
