If Battier is traded for a 4 man, I wouldn't mind picking up Pavlovic. I think he would be a great fit at the 2.

It gives them a reasonable upgrade at the 1 + cap relief. They get out of demon Damon's deal. They re-sign Sasha. Get another year out of Marshall. Get 'Andy' some time at the 4. Frankly, I think it's a better deal for cavs than Rox.

Thanks for the Link. I like Varejao too, but he is just a bigger Chuck Hayes imo.

Depends on what the Rocks plans are for Rafer.

If they don't see him as part of the future, they are basically trading a non contributor and an injured Sura for a starter at PF.

Which makes sense for both teams......

Given Gooden's on/off +/- is -8.6, I'd say there is little chance Rockets trades for him.

I cannot believe the acquisition of mj and the 'courting of KillBill v.2' is implicative of Rafe being in any long-term plans. Rafe is ok, tho probably not the first objective of Ferry for next Fall, but - the 'total pkg' would have to be enticing for him.

What is Marshall's? Varejo v Ziggy? I don't follow that stuff, probably should.

Pj is retiring, Nocioni is a tweener, free agent and Ty is not very big. There is no question the Bulls need frontcourt help. Hence the Pau Gasol, Jermaine O'Neal, and KG rumors.

Yes I do know the diffrence between salary cap and Luxury Tax but the writer did not make a mistake the Salary Cap issue is that they are not under it and close to going over the Luxury tax he was speaking in a general since. What are you a democrat? You do not understand that?

Actually, that doesn't quite work under the cap... we'd just have to throw someone in (Span, Snyder, Reed, Lucas, or Novak would work).

I'd throw in Lucas, Reed, or Span and go for it. I think it helps both teams... Cavs get their experienced PG, and we get our legit starting PF.

    The PLUS

    1. I really like Goodens Game

    2. T-Mac has played with Gooden in the past

    THE NEGATIVE

    1. T-Mac thought the only good player on that magic tream that was active was Mike Miller, thus not mentioning Gooden

    2. We could have had Gooden but they chose Juwanna Man instead, dammit

TMac didnt like Gooden... I dont think the Cavs are too fond of him either.

The guy is like Stromile Swift with a stronger motor and better understanding for rebounds... but all redeeming qualities are negated by his poor basketball IQ and tendency to think he can zip no-look passes at his teammates, or take shots 20 feet from the basket.

If T-mac don't like him, then he'd better not come!

Did TMac tell you this? Plus Swift with a better motor is very good. If you do not like the move what do you propose I do not see some all star PF knocking on our front door any time soon.

Not me personally, no... but I used to be an Orlando Magic fan and I clearly remember Juwan Howard beating out Drew Gooden for the starting PF spot because of continuous lapses in defense and his talent for fumbling the ball on offense. The Cavs, for two seasons, have quietly put out feelers for Drew Gooden and found no takers.

Swift on red-bull and sterioids couldn't start ahead of Ryan Bowen. The Steven Hunters and Stromile Swifts of the world need more than a strong motor and a high-school chearleader's bball IQ to make it in the NBA.

We could do much better by using the MLE to acquire Andres Nocioni, Antonio McDyess, or even Chris Webber. We'ld be paying $1+ mill less for more basketball than Drew Gooden.

What's with the attacking of democrats on this board? They're absolutely villified here. I'm no fan of democrats, but if you're a republican can you even hold your party in any esteem? Using a political affliation as an insult speaks more of you than it does of him.

I said earlier that Gooden is a pretty good playen and I stay with it. But now I would probably go more with Wilcox cause he's athletic strong and he' s a dunker and rebounder. We need guy like Wilcox more than Gooden.
