Has anybody played the Wrestlemania drinking game?

Go out and get the complete Wrestlemania box set on DVD, start with Wrestlemania I and take a shot every time a person appears on screen that is now dead...

You're a complete idiot, Batman. Just stupid beyond belief. You get so worked up in politics that it humors me.

Not sure if you know this or not, but many liberal posters have left the board over time, also. Can you explain why they left? Were they continually proven wrong "beyond all doubt"? Your examples of Treeman, johnheath, Jorge are just absurd and wrong. At least you admit it's speculation.

Your celebrations over any negative news regarding our brave troops in Iraq have been well documented on this board. Your words speak for themselves. The only reason you get so mad when people point it out is because it strikes a nerve with you. The truth hurts you because you feel like you've been "revealed".

I do get worked up about politics, you're right. I get worked up about it because it's important -- because so very many people have died unnecessarily, because so many are homeless or starving while others are fat and rich, because I care about human rights and their violations, because I care that people suffer when there is no need for it. Why don't you get worked up about that stuff? Oh, right. Because your taxes are lower and you're happy. You're a selfish pig.

No, the liberal posters that have left have not done so because they were proven wrong. In the years I've been posting on this board, in fact, I've yet to see a liberal position soundly refuted. Incredible, but true. Particularly on the Iraq war, you guys have been so insanely wrong on every single thing and we have been so right that it is a totally amazing thing. I've challenged you and your twin brother several times now to point out EVEN ONE example of the opposite and the best you could do was to call me a know-it-all. Pathetic, but par for the course. You guys can't argue. All you can do is throw around bumper sticker style slander.

In over 6,600 posts, many directed at me, you have never "revealed" me. You have never even won the smallest point. And I have never "celebrated" bad news in Iraq, your libelous lies notwithstanding. But this is all you've got. You're a liar and an ******* and the board will be ever so much better off without you on it.

Only eight more posts to go. Happy days.

Congrats on the day shift at the Waffle House, texx! Its gonna be tough working both day and nights. But if anybody can do it, a young, hardworking, god fearing man such as yourself can take care of the job.

Is D&D completely unmoderated now or is it now a free-for-all in calling other posters "*******", etc. - as Batman Jones does?

I seem to remember that a formerly regular poster (from Utah?) got banned for a similar rant.

hey, if he gets a 3rd job president bush will think he is "uniquely american"

BUSH: HOLDING THREE JOBS 'UNIQUELY AMERICAN'
    Tues Feb 8 2005 9:27:01 ET

Last Friday when promoting social security reform with 'regular' citizens in Omaha, Nebraska, President Bush walked into an awkward unscripted moment in which he stated that carrying three jobs at a time is 'uniquely American.'

While talking with audience participants, the president met Mary Mornin, a woman in her late fifties who told the president she was a divorced mother of three, including 'mentally challenged' son.

The President comforted Mornin on the secrity of social security stating that 'the promises made will be kept by the government.'

But without prompting Mornin began to elaborate on her life circumstances in the course of their discussion.

    Begin transcript:

MS. MORNIN: That's good, because I work three jobs and I feel like I contribute.

THE PRESIDENT: You work three jobs?

    MS. MORNIN: Three jobs, yes.

THE PRESIDENT: Uniquely American, isn't it? I mean, that is fantastic that you're doing that. (Applause.) Get any sleep? (Laughter.)

SJC, it's gotten to where you only post in here if Batman or MacBeth make an appearence, or something similar, except for a few exceptions. Why do you care? Calling someone an ******* who told you that you supported terrorists, and the like, is an exercise in restraint, in my opinion. Sure, we should refrain from using language like that, but I'd rather have someone call me an ******* 1,000 times in this forum, than be called a traitor to my country here once... and it's happened more than once.

You should take a chill pill, man. Everyone should take one. texxx is apparently moving on. Let him move on, if it's what he wants to do. Get over it.

Totally agree -- clearing out a few folks would really go a long way toward improving the conversation in this forum.

There can be great discussion, but often it is thrown off by a few blasting away at each other.

When people stop telling me I celebrate American deaths or support Bin Laden I will never call someone an ******* again. If that stuff is not cause for banning, I really don't see how a word that isn't even censored here is. If a moderator wants to tell me it is, I'll stop. But if that's the case I'd really love for the mods to weigh in the far, far worse stuff that gets flung at me and others here by folks like texxx.

I don't think I said either before you called me an *******...I merely commented with a :D that in my opinion, I thought it was funny you got owned in this thread (because you were obviously posting with out-of-control anger).

By turning a blind eye when someone who leans to your side of the political spectrum crosses a line with regards to being civil in this forum, you make a mockery of your own signature and you just lost a whole lot of credibility.

I haven't turned a blind eye to anything, SJC, and if you read my post, you would see where I was coming from, unless you are blind. I've explained before why I laboriously type Keep D&D Civil at the bottom of every post of mine in D&D, which is not my signature at all, by the way. I am no saint, and have never claimed to be. Nor have I ever sought after "credibility" here. If someone respects me, that's great. If they don't, that OK as well. I won't lose any sleep over it.

I'm a political junkie. That's why I'm in D&D. Over the years, I've become involved in discussions I initially tried to avoid, and I've learned a lot from several members here. My positions have even been changed as a result of what I've read here, like how I feel about late-term abortions, for example. I've also learned that there are some pretty strange characters in D&D, who only post to get a rise from someone, to irritate them, or to insult them... and frequently, in my opinion, just for kicks, not because they even believe what they posted. An example of that is texxx and Trader_J, who have used the most insulting language to other members here on several occasions, without any response from those you were so quick to call out a while ago for not, in your opinion, tending to business. I prefer to leave the mods alone and try to work things out here between ourselves. The reason I post what you called my signature is a reminder for myself, as well as others, and an attempt to keep D&D in existence. I don't know if you care about this forum or not, but I do. So do a lot of other members, many of whom don't even post in it, but like to read it. I would like to think that my reminder has helped, at least a little. If everyone thinks it hasn't, then I'll save my fingers the work, and quit typing it.

As I said, I think everyone should chill out and let texxx go his merry way, if that's really what he is doing. I wish him well, despite the slander he's aimed my way a few times. He's been rather sedate lately, and I don't have a beef with him. I take him for what he is, and I have a pretty good idea of just what he is, too.

Ultimately, what do we know of one another? What we read on the BBS, in most cases. I'm lucky... unlike Batman, I'm not accused of posting drunk anytime I make a post after midnight, which is when I make a lot of my posts. And I think he was out of line to call someone an *******, but not nearly as out of line as someone else calling a member a traitor to his country, and a supporter of terrorism. Perhaps you should ponder that, SJC, and consider the saying about throwing stones at others. Sometimes they can ricochet.

Deckard keeping the name calling and fighting out of the D & D is the prime way to keep it in existence. Banning a few folks [from this forum] would go a long way towards solving this problem - because once they get started everyone else gets fired up and the trainwreck begins.

Fact of the matter is, calling someone else an ******* is out of line.

And if you really aspire to keep D&D civil, there should be no ifs, buts and other relativizations about this.

    Name calling isn't good.

If there is an order of which names are worse to be called, traitor, terrorist lover/supporter, somebody who wants the terrorists to win, helps terrorists win etc. is far far worse than calling someone an a**hole.
